CVG - 2.61" - Updated total as of 10am.

Been looking at a lot of the Local Storm Reports out of the various NWS Offices that cover the S Apps. Wow!

GSP - Greensville, SC https://forecast.weather.gov/product.ph ... glossary=0
MRX - Morristown, TN - https://forecast.weather.gov/product.ph ... suedby=MRX

Town of chimney rock. To the right of the “red old rock” sign (he pans right later in the video) where there is nothing, was building after building as far as you could see.

The damage in the Asheville and Greenville areas plus other place in that part of the world is much greater than in Florida imo. Heard report this morning that in Asheville power was out for the entire city and no cell phone service available. Hard to imagine.

Absolutely! I was watching The Weather Channel this morning and they were covering FL way more then the S Apps region, which was the reason why I turned it off!

Very nice and most folks received a decent amount of rainfall. Today just a steady light rain that is adding up slowly so really a perfect rain

That whole massive area is a disaster and changed forever . Saw where they issued a statement saying “every road should be considered impassable in and around the Asheville/ west NC until proper engineering inspections
My folks, maternal grandmother, and I went to Biltmore Estate in May 1995 e.g. Devastation on that property and beautiful gardens etc.

My folks and I have some friends (a former pastor of ours) who reside and are managers of The Cove (Rev. Billy Graham) Center near Asheville, too.

What a beast witch HeLLene! :o

Good Morning and my total as of 7am is 3.64. Can I make it to 4 inches and could be tough as showers are more isolated today though a little pop of the sun and a quick downpour may do the trick. Thanks for the map Bgoney. That area between Greenville and Asheville just got destroyed. Check the outages and going to take weeks to take care of the them.

We are almost finished with September and has been a very busy month compared to most September's as that month is usually one of the calmest months of the year. Started out very cool but then a week or so of heat then we finish the month out with heavy rains. Looking at the grass last night and all it takes around here is some heavy rain and late September to green things up quickly. Of course there will be some seeding as usual but glad to see the needed rain.

My lawn is coming back too! After things dry out a bit, I'll need to pick up the tree debris and then mow and grind up some leaves. I'm actually glad we have a dry and sunny period coming up to be honest.

Definitely feel bad for the folks to our south who got destroyed by Helene. My prayers are with them as they slowly begin to pick up the pieces in the weeks and months to come. Hopefully the next tropical system will be much further to the SE for the track in the hopes that the Helene impacted areas get missed! We will be tracking that wave in the Atlantic tropical thread and probably in the Rocktober thread too in case we are impacted by it again. My early thoughts are that it is a miss to the SE with the worst of it for our local area.

Are models and ensembles showing that low for next weekend potentially being tropical storm status? Just wondering Bro since your wording was with the worst of it for our local area.

I'm sorry Bro. I didn't type that correctly. I meant to say that I think it'll be a miss to the SE with the worst of the weather also being to our SE. Sorry about that.

A 30% chance of a shower to end Sept tomorrow with highs in the mid 70s. We will still have humid conditions until that cold front crosses the area Tues night / Wed.

Glad it will dry out for a while late week since my Dad and I have another Bocce ball league game with a couple of friends here in the 'hood. :)
