Shanshan is back down to a TS as it continues to cause havoc over Japan. This system will gradually rain itself out over Japan if you will for the rest of its lifecycle.

Wave 92W has a low chance of development and we still have Shanshan as a TD over Japan which is finally winding down.

Super Typhoon Yagi will cause havoc for SE Asia today thru the weekend. TD 13W is now TS Leepi which will remain a weak storm and pass well East of Japan moving NE away from the Island chain. Finally, wave 95W has a low chance to develop at this time.

Yagi is back down to typhoon status now as it ravages SE Asia. TS Leepi is moving NE and won't harm any land masses. Wave 94 W is a low chance to develop while 95W has a medium chance.

TS Pulasan is still on track to impact China. It'll be some of those same areas that just got hit by typhoon Bebinca several days ago. Wave 98W has a high chance to develop and wave 99 W has a medium chance.

Compared to our part of the world, the typhoon season seems pretty busy.

It typically is more busy then the East Pac or Atlantic basins on average. Also due to the larger body of water and it being so warm, some of the more intense storms can usually be found in this part of the world as well.

Only two things on the board right now. Pulasan is now a TD weakening over China. This one has done a loop and will reemerge back out over water (TD or TS) and then get Korea.

Wave 90W has a high chance for development.

We now have TD 18W. This one could become TS Cimaron and remain a weak system as it recurves NE off Japan. Although the center may come close to the coast to impact Toyoko with some wind and rain.

Wave 95W has a medium chance to develop.

We now have TD Cimaron but it is expected to remain weak and not really bother land areas. Wave 95W now has a high chance to develop and Wave 97W a low chance.

TD Cimaron is weakening and can just about we taken off the board. TS 19W is expected to come close to Japan then do the ole re-curve. JTWC is not expecting a typhoon with this system at this time. 97W still has a high chance to develop.

Two systems to track in the West Pac. We have TS Jebi which is expected to track towards Japan and become a typhoon briefly, then weaken and recurve. We also have TS Krathon which is expected to become a typhoon and brush Taiwan as it curves to the NE. Not sure if it will miss Japan or not. Too early to know.
