Shanshan is back down to a TS as it continues to cause havoc over Japan. This system will gradually rain itself out over Japan if you will for the rest of its lifecycle.

Wave 92W has a low chance of development and we still have Shanshan as a TD over Japan which is finally winding down.

Compared to our part of the world, the typhoon season seems pretty busy.

Re: West Pac Typhoon Season Discussion
It typically is more busy then the East Pac or Atlantic basins on average. Also due to the larger body of water and it being so warm, some of the more intense storms can usually be found in this part of the world as well.House of Cards wrote: ↑Wed Sep 18, 2024 8:09 am Compared to our part of the world, the typhoon season seems pretty busy.

Re: West Pac Typhoon Season Discussion
Only two things on the board right now. Pulasan is now a TD weakening over China. This one has done a loop and will reemerge back out over water (TD or TS) and then get Korea.
Wave 90W has a high chance for development.
