Nice Linn! Glad to see someone in the Metro get that 1" even though a lot of us were close in that eight to nine tenths range.

Nice to see the NWS in Paducah put out a special weather statement for the light snow expected in that area overnight. Not expecting snow to cause problems but the first snow of the year is always nice to see the special weather statement

From the boys...

.NEAR TERM /UNTIL 6 AM SATURDAY MORNING/...
As the remnants of Nicole travel through West Virginia,
Pennsylvania and New York, the band of soaking rain will depart
the ILN area, leaving mostly cloudy skies. No flooding has been
observed even with over 2 inches of rain in some eastern
locations, owing to the dry antecedent soil conditions and low
stream levels. A gusty northwest flow arriving behind Nicole
will carry much lower temperatures, with readings falling to the
30s by 6 am.

&&

.SHORT TERM /6 AM SATURDAY MORNING THROUGH SATURDAY NIGHT/...
A sharply colder day can be expected on Saturday as cold
advection continues on a northwest flow. A rather potent short
wave trough moving from the southwest into this temperature
regime is forecast to produce rain and snow, with some minor
snow accumulations possible on grassy areas. After the short
wave tracks east, additional light snow will be possible
northwest of Dayton on Saturday night in moisture originating
over Lake Michigan.

Below normal temperatures will be observed for the first time
this month, with highs ranging from the mid and upper 30s west
to the low and mid 40s east. Lows Saturday will be in the 20s,
except at Columbus where the urban heat island may keep readings
at 30.

Nice write up by the boys. I agree and would add that a few snow showers could make it to the river Saturday night. Of course we need to see exactly how the wind is blowing but if you do get that fetch off Lake Michigan and it affects folks northwest of Dayton that could also hit the eastern section of Cincinnati. Again not expecting either way but would be nice to see some additional snow falling for a brief period Sunday Morning.

Radar presentation over TX and OK already looks half way decent which is where tomorrow's action is coming from.

As of right now sitting at 1.20 still some light rain and drizzle falling. Don't expect to much more. But I'm thrilled with this that is for sure.

Just a meager tenth of an inch in my gauge for Fri in this moderate drought zone. Yes, better than nothing but still ...

Down to 49 degrees at this hour with gusty west winds. Winds will stay up overnight ahead of that short wave for tomorrow. Look for a mix of rain and snow to move in from SW to NE on Saturday. Precip rate when heavy is snow which can stick briefly then melt once the intensity lessens or stops. If the precip rate is light, then rain showers or drizzle / mist will be the precip type. Temps in the 30s all day long too. Thinking 6am to 3pm is a broad enough window for the entire region to expect action at some point. Timing should favor the morning for Cincinnati. For the folks who get under a heavier burst of snow, up to 1" locally on grassy areas / car tops can be expected. Roads... no issues just wet. Current radar showing some snow now over NW AR and SW MO. with rain to the south of that. That is tomorrow morning's action headed our way.

Good morning
Very sharp cutoff yesterday with the rain. I am near Somerville in Butler Co and the rain was over by 1130 yesterday morning. In West Chester, it rained until 130ish. .43" of rain total for yesterday's event.

I am sitting at 31 this morning and very light snow flurries just started.

33 / 27 and light sleet is my obs. Maybe a flake trying to mix in every now and again. Need the precip rate to be a little heavier for snow down here. 850s range from +1 to +3 across our local area , Colder air will be pushing in from the West limiting highs into the mid 30s today for most folks. Snow, sleet, and rain all possible today with mainly snow this morning esp N and W of Cincy.

Up here in the snow belt of Ohio we are expecting some accumulation away from lakeside communities,
In October the 18/19th of the month I totaled 3.25 inches of snow.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
2022/23 Winter snowfall 61 inches
Seasonal average 107-113 inches depending on source.
