Happy April!!! Have had 2 waves of impressive snow showers blow through! Currently 32 imby. Low was 30.6. Enjoying the magnolias while they are still beautiful. At least they had a chance to open up this year! We have one in our yard, corner of the house and my neighbor has one in her front yard, beautiful view from my front window. lol Will be interesting to see what they look like after the next couple of nights!

Nice snow shower and it is sticking somewhat on the grass and bushes. Windy and my guess wind chills are in the low 20's.

Same here Les! Deflecting dome in full force so far. LOL Current temp is 36 with low of 31.

Finally saw a good snow shower! Temp at 36 now. No accum but I did see some flakes flying. Woo hooo!

CVG was reporting 3 mile vis. at the 12pm reading.

Snow squall parameter looks good off of Lake Erie so probably some good bursts of lake effect snow there today as well as off Lake Michigan, who we can thank for our flakes today. Decent low level lapse rates are assisting. Some good lift to go along with the deep moisture off of the lake. Strong CAA as well with 850 temps dropping to -10 to -11C. 500 MB temps are -29C so some good cold air aloft to help make it happen. What month is this?

Radar actually looks good right now. More flakes are fluttering down and might get a good burst of snow per radar in a few minutes.

Good snow shower now.... best it has snowed all day! I'd say vis is 1 to 1.5 miles.

That last snow shower was a doozy! The wind picked up, temp dropped to 32 and even had a few flakes accumulate briefly as Tim was mentioning. CVG dropped to 3/4 mile vis. One last parting gift before next season you know.

We are cold of course thru Sat morning then we moderate quite nicely. Should be U60s maybe 70 by Easter and Low to Mid 70s thru probably at least Wed of next week before we slide back downhill again. GFS has the next chance of rain by Wed of next week, Euro is slower of course so it waits until Thursday.

I believe so yes. 36 from 1924 was the record cold high today so we fell a bit short.

Haven't had any flakes here in Greenville.

Looking forward to the mild period from Sat to Wed or Thurs, however long that lasts.

Currently at the freezing mark and progged for around 20 on Fri morning.

Thurs and Fri look like the wettest days next week per the Euro. The GFS has good chances daily from Wed thru next weekend.

Good Morning Les. A cold but sunny day plus we are heading in the right direction. Next 5 or 6 days look great but after that the models are trending towards a wetter period though not severe. Could be a nice cutoff low over the central USA that takes time to move eastward so several days where we have rain chances. Not complaining at all since April and May are the months we need rainfall and so far this year we are slightly above normal so that is good coming out of winter.

Good morning Tim! Short and medium range look great for sure. In the extended period, I hope that the high in Canada is strong enough to keep the cut off (if it occurs) S of Lake Erie. NE wind won't be great but cool and wet weather to go along with it is not good either.

My low was 22.

Lowest temp I have seen in the region was 15 in La Porte, IN up in far northern part of the state.
