So while the west coast is buried in snow up in the Sierra/Cascades, one place also having a snow drought (like us) is the Denver, CO area. They are currently having another massive wind storm in the foothills (100+ mph gusts) and the entire town of Superior, CO (~13,000 population) has been evacuated due to a rapidly expanding grass fire.

SPS for some locally dense fog this morning:

Areas of fog, locally dense in spots, will persist across the area
through mid morning. Visibility may lower to a quarter mile or
less. Improvement is expected later this morning.

Those traveling should use caution. Slow down. Allow more distance
between you and the vehicle ahead of you. Have your low beam
headlights turned on.

Currently 50 here in G'ville and progged to hold steady into the upper 40s into New Year's Day morning.
