Only side effect I've had with my Moderna (since last night) has been some soreness at the shot site. Feels like I was hit by a fast ball and I put an ice pack on it for relief every now and then. Prayerfully will abate in a day or two.

My Dad felt like he was coming down with a cold via a sore throat on Sat afternoon, coughing on Sun, and now this Mon afternoon he's started getting chills and body aches. Going to call our Family Health bldg where our family physician assistant is at, in the morning, to ask about getting Dad tested. Prayerfully it isn't Covid ...

Please keep my Dad and also my Mom and myself in your prayers.

Dad's 2 dose Pfizer vaccine activated not long ago.

Dad has felt much better today, no chills or body aches, and he, my Mom, and myself believe it to be just a cold. Thankful that it is just a cold.

Reactions to the shot are different for everyone. Hope yours is on the mild side. I had J&J and mine were mild , just some chills for a couple nights, but never felt bad at all.

From everything I've read and from people I know, the first shot (in the 2 shot system) isn't bad. It's the second one that has more of a kick. But everyone is different. Some people I know, the side effects were minimal. Others, they were down for the count for a day or two. At this time for myself, the shot site is a little sore but so far, I'm good. Back to working in my living room right now lol

Hi Les,

That's the same one that my folks got in Feb. :)

I'll be getting my 2nd dose of the Moderna on the day after your 2nd dose of Pfizer. :)

My only side effect from the 1st dose was some soreness at the shot site which I applied an ice pack to at times for some relief and took a Tylenol.

That's good Eric. :) Hopefully, it'll be a similar deal for me. So far, I feel fine other then the soreness in my arm which I fully expected to have happen anyway.

Vaccine will be fully activated on Fri April 23rd. :thumbupleft:

Having more reaction with my 2nd dose of Moderna as my left arm shot site is swollen. Took a Tylenol for the soreness last night and today after lunch took an Excedrin. Never have had such a reaction as this ever in the past with any other kind of vaccine. Not even with a seasonal influenza vaccination. :|

For those here at AV who have gotten the J and J vaccine, that particular vaccine distribution has been paused due to some individuals reporting complications via blood clots forming. :o

Just another over-reaction in the grand scheme of things. 6 people out of 7 million doses, every drug on the market should be paused, lol

The J&J pause is gross incompetency. Removing access to that shot will kill people, but the media won't cover it.

My second Moderna is in 2 weeks, first one was a slightly sore arm and that's it. @tron777 Any reaction to the second shot?
