CVG 90 Degree Day Contest 2024

Good afternoon all!

It is that time of year again when we're in spring mode but the heat of summer is lurking off in the distance. The annual CVG 90 degree contest is back! Do you think it'll be a hot summer or a cool one? Maybe normal? CVG averages (22) 90 degree days in a season.

Please get your guesses in by Friday, May 31 at 12am EDT. The contest runs from June 1st thru Sept 30th. Only 90 degree day highs and above during those months will be counted as part of the contest. We are also bringing back the BONUS CVG got 89'ed! part of the contest so enter your number of days there as well. That will be used in the event of a tie breaker.

I gave into the hotter second half of summer but this could well be a big bust but got a feeling a lot of 89-92 days as we have plenty of vegetation and this will help keep overnight lows higher than normal so its easier to hit 90

I had to lower my numbers because some of the items I thought would start showing up have not though this should happen it may take a little longer so cut back totals somewhat. Still believe a period of hot weather especially the 2nd half but at the moment no long term heat seen and if we continue to get rainfall that is near or above normal makes it that much harder to get the long term heat.
