Re: January 18-19th Accumulating Snow Threat
CVG now has 0.20" of QPF as of 9am. I am willing to bet I will have 3 to 3.5" myself when I get home. 2nd place will work for me!
Re: January 18-19th Accumulating Snow Threat
I'm guessing the ratios up by I-70 where greater than 15:1 based on radar returns compared to actual snowfall measurements. We'll see.

Looks like 1.75 inches here. Hoping to get under a nice snow shower later day.

So based on NWS reports and reports from you all, it looks like the following has occurred on avg, Individual results may vary as is usually the case.
I-70 Crew: 1-2"
Cincy Metro: 2-3"
Southern tier of counties / SE Crew and our Eastern counties in general: 3-4"
Something like that anyway, which was the exact opposite of how some of the models portrayed this event.

Looking outside the office window, I'll go with 2" here in Mason. I-71 and Fields Ertel Rd.

Our 15-year-old pup didn't stay out as long as he used to, but he's still enjoyed a romp in the snow.

My guess is around 2 inches here in Huber heights.

Love the pics, Mollie! Cute dog, too! I remember a long time ago when my Brother used to live up by Oregonia in Warren Co in the country, he had a black lab and that dog LOVED playing outside in the snow! You had to drag him in like a little kid!

Awesome Roy! My fat cat is probably still in bed!
Re: January 18-19th Accumulating Snow Threat
While not perfect, this was the 12z GFS from yesterday. A major win for this model especially on placement. Note the drier zone around I-70. Again, not perfect, but the best performer IMO.

Re: January 18-19th Accumulating Snow Threat
As much as I bash the GFS it did do very well. The Icon although too high, did have the higher totals the entire time as well. NAM by far did the worst followed by the Euro.
Re: January 18-19th Accumulating Snow Threat
A little over 3 inches here in Oakbrook. Deck railing, best one foot into the snow measurement I could do.

Re: January 18-19th Accumulating Snow Threat
Good deal Mark!!! Looks like 3 to 3.5" is common across our county.
