I know just enough about weather to be dangerous!
0.11" in the bucket as of 9am at CVG, A stiff E wind at 20 mph will only increase as the day wears on and eventually it will turn southerly once the warm front passes.
Been out on my morning walk. Radar indicates it's snowing here but it started as some sleet and transitioned to rain. I did get a report of heavy snow up near Greenville.
Edit: Some snow flakes mixing back in now.
Edit 2: Big fat pancake flakes now. Exciting but sad knowing they won't last!
Brookville, Ohio
Northwest Montgomery county
I70 Corridor
Trev.... you may get that high wind warning after all. Check out this update from the boys:
.NEAR TERM /UNTIL 6 PM THIS EVENING/...
Interesting weather to occur today and tonight due to
strong/deepening low pressure moving north/northeast through
Indiana and northwest Ohio. Latest high-resolution model runs
show the low a bit further east. Ahead of the low and its
associated occluded front, a swath of enhanced winds appears to
be setting up for a few hours from northern KY north through the
center of our forecast area. Will be considering upgraded wind
headlines in this region for late afternoon into early evening.
Otherwise, today will be wet... especially late this morning
through early afternoon as strong warm air advection lifts
moisture/convergence north through the Ohio Valley. Temperatures
will be well above normal, rising into the mid to upper 40s to
near 50 in the far south.

Snow storm is just getting underway across the Midwest. Meanwhile a deepening low over MO is slinging heavy rainfall in our direction which will arrive later on this morning. Winds will increase also becoming very windy for the POM commute as I've mentioned. Be safe everyone! Hope your power (and mine) stays on as the arctic tundra begins tomorrow.
An aunt and cousin of mine in Baldwin, MI near Ludington along the Lake Michigan shore are in for 8-13"!

My Aunt in Northern Lower Michigan has been upgraded to a blizzard warning! NWS APX (Gaylord, MI) is expecting 10-15" with localized amounts of 18" along with winds gusting 50-60 mph! LES will be kicking in behind the big synoptic system also.
Good luck to both of our aunts and my cousin in this storm system, Bro!

Yeah... it's going to be a massive event for them. esp later today thru tomorrow.
Rain will be on the increase as times goes on as it pushes in from the SW. The surface is low is deepening now down to 992 Mb over St. Louis. Deepest pressure falls indicate that it should be heading towards NW Indiana.

Very strange... 925 MB and 850 MB temps are well above zero. 700 MB temps are much colder though at -4 per SPC meso page so maybe that is the reason? Seeing some flakes mixing in here in Mason also.
