Annual CVG Snowfall Contest for 2023-2024

Hello everyone and to our annual snowfall contest here on AV! We do this contest every winter for CVG! The same rules as always will apply. The contest runs from Nov 1st to Mar 31st. Oct or April snow which is loved and cherished... does not count towards this contest. You have two challenges. Predict the first accumulating snowfall at CVG. 0.1" or more. Remember, a trace doesn't count. Then, how much total snowfall will CVG receive for the contest period? Verification will be as always using the Daily Climate Report from NWS ILN.

To help you in your quest for victory, here are some snowfall stats for CVG. Avg date for the first accum snowfall of 0.1" or more is 11/28. CVG's seasonal avg is 23.3".

Please submit your contest entries by Halloween Night, October 31st at midnight.

Hey Les and believe everyone is waiting on the possible snow early Nov 1st. I believe it will be mainly just flurries but as we know being in the correct place at the correct time can put down 0.01 inches

That's all you need to win part 1 is for CVG to record 0.1" or more. A Trace does not count. The funny thing is... if you guess 11/1 but if we see flakes prior to midnight on 10/31 itself, that also wouldn't count as it is outside of the contest period. I'm not expecting any accum whatsoever just a few flakes floating on by would be the worst case scenario IMO. I still believe the further one goes North from Cincinnati, the better chance you have to see flakes to begin with. If we see any flakes down here, it is a bonus.
