57 in my hood this morning! Very refreshing! Good news is that with the 90+ temps coming today and tomorrow, at least the humidity will be low. Bad news... the ground will dry out even more. But for those with outdoor plans, you can't ask for more.

The Tellies currently show us a +PNA, -AO, and -NAO along with the MJO being in the neutral circle. This means basically a continued dry pattern for us with little change although temps will cool down some next week. I don't think it'll last long as the high 80s and lower 90s should return. Unless.... unless we see some wetter weather developing. But with the MJO in the neutral circle right now, I wouldn't count on it just yet. I like the idea of a warmer then avg June with below avg precip. The first 10 days we all know could easily be 100% dry. So we'll have to see if we can muster something up when I am on vacation the week of the 12th. That is probably when the storms will be a calling on Lake Erie again.

Good Morning and the hot days are upon us but the humidity is still not bad for this of year. Made it through 5 months and we are about 2.5 degrees above normal temp wise but this year it has been the daytime temps that are leading the way. So many years the nighttime lows have boosted the overall temp so that is one change. Precip wise we are about 8p/c below normal but the biggest problem is timing and much of the drier weather has occurred in the spring and that is not good for the growing season. I have not mowed my grass since last Thursday and though it looks a little shabby the grass is not that high so plan to wait until a few cooler days early next week.

Good morning Tim! Same thing here. I cut mine last Thursday as well. I'll drag out the sprinkler again tomorrow. Not sure when I'll mow next. It'll depend on rain / future rainfall prospects. I may knock it down next week before my vacation just to even things up.

CMH is already 90 at noon. The atmosphere is heating up quickly in the area today. Should be 90 just about everywhere today.

No doubt and having those lower dew points and a bright sunny sky will have the temp rise quickly.

All I keep seeing on the GFS is the same ole, same ole. Continued back door fronts with limited moisture. The upside... little in the way of heat after today and this weekend.

Zero GOM moisture into the OV. SE/ Bermuda ridging non existent, until that completely changes the OV is toast dry

We actually have a small shot of rain later today into this evening. 20-30% coverage for folks North and West of Cincinnati. I will go with a 10-20% chance for the rest of us. Good luck! Expecting 92 today.

Good Morning and the beat goes on. Today should be the hottest day over the next week and 91-93 looks good.Like Les mentioned a small chance of rainfall late today but I would not bet the ranch. Then we stay dry but somewhat cooler and still no humidity to speak of. I hate the humidity in the summer but without it chances of rainfall are slim. Many years when we have the wet spring overnight lows stay up but this year without the rains we are able to drop nicely at night. It really reminds me more of late August and early September. Going to mow today just to clean up the yard and then wait until next week or early the following week before I head to SC one last time on the 14th and coming back on the 20th.

I'm watering today. Will mow next week and water once more before I leave. Mother Nature will be in control after that. Hope the plants can survive a week without rain. Better yet, hope we get some rain while I am gone.
