So Indy's terminal radar is now down as well!

Looks like the front itself is starting to reverse and make its way northward. You can tell this as southeast winds will start to turn more from the south. This will be slow at first so locally temps should go no higher than 50 during the daylight hours. This evening we should rise as the storm moves this way and we wait on the next round of decent rains.

That front is wavy. There is a weak wave in ILL that will move into IN later that should pull the front northward a bit. Then it really comes northward of course tomorrow with the approach of the surface low down in OK this morning.

Perfect Les and my post look like its happening at the moment but I was giving out what should happen later today and this evening We should go from east to southeast then south winds over the next 12 hours or so.

The Nam which has been coming in with the lowest amounts over the past few days show the system later tonight with the heaviest rains in southern Illinois heading towards Indy while we get a hefty band with the cold front.

My Hood Update: 1.44" as of last check here about 15 mins ago.

The gfs is a little further east than the Nam with the heaviest rains and yes Indy is still in that area but CVG is much closer to the heavy rains. The CMC has some heavy rains but just a little further south but still east of the Nam

Last night between 11:30 and midnight was the most recent time I checked my gauge. From Tues had .28" and Wed-Thurs .10", I emptied both of those amounts. Anyway going to be interesting what the final combo total after the Sat AM hours will be since Tues.

Currently 41 here and progged to top out at around 44 for today.

Picked up .90" from early this morning for a combo total so far of 1.28"

Noon wx segment on WHIO has my area for another 1.34" before its a wrap.

Saw on the AccuWeather channel a wind map for Sat and it shows 50 to 60 mph gusts for a lot of the OV.

The second part of the rain event is getting itself together. This will be somewhat different than the first part which gave many folks 1-2 inches with some isolated higher amounts. The rain tonight will not last as long but there will periods will it really rains hard for 2-3 hours and this is when we will see some flash flooding warnings. Trying to find the exact area is still not easy though further south and west seems to be the prime area.

Then on Saturday guess what the wind picks up and gusts over 40 for sure and maybe higher.

So plastic gauge says 2.25” since about 7:00 last night. Davis running a bit higher says 2.75”.
