Agreed. It really won’t take much to get some tornado warnings in the area.

Winds starting to ramp up here.

KY Mesonet sites behind the line continue to gust in the 45-65 mph range! Remember, this is after the storms pass! A 2-4 hour period of strong winds of this magnitude are likely.

Temps are in the low 50s here... 65 to 70 immediately on the other side of the warm front. We are probably going to remain just north of the warm front and along and just north of it is where I'd be watching for a spin up once the line comes into our hoods. This post is for the Cincy Metro on southward.

I’m beginning to wonder if ILN will further expand the high wind warnings to encompass more of the tri-state.

I'm not sure to be honest. Those higher winds are only going to make it so far north. Wind advisory may cover it for folks north west of us.

Brief dry slot entering the Cincy area ahead of the next line. It’s small so shouldn’t allow for much in the way of a huge temp boost or a lot of CAPE but might be just enough to rise a few degrees and see a couple hundred CAPE for areas especially along and south of the river.

My hood has entered the brief break in the action. Might get a peak of sun in here after all per visible. I'll post if that happens or not. Wind has really started to crank as a result of the dry slot moving in.

I'll be next in line for the warning. Yep, can see a peak of sun here now. Might be just enough of a break to assist with keeping the storms severe a bit longer.

Been hammering this point all day that the winds were going to crank regardless of seeing severe t-storms or not once the line passed. Strong winds are as close as Oldham and Shelby co's in KY per current Mesonet gusts in the 40 to 45 mph range.

Something I’m noticing on these supercellular structures is that they are more elongated than the classic kidney bean shape. Probably due to the extremely high shear.
