Now over 6 inches with last band her in Fairfield by Mercy Hospital. One more band appears to just skirt us per radar. Almost time to break out the snowblower. It been awhile… usually I just shovel.

The boys still playing catch up as of 20 mins ago:

.NEAR TERM /UNTIL 6 PM THIS EVENING/...
Frontogenetic banding leading to some overachieving snow along
the I-71 corridor. Have upgraded to a warning for portions of
our southwest where we have had numerous reports in the 3 to 5
inch range. Heaviest band appears to have shifted northeast so
will allow for about another 1 to 2 inches in the warning area.
Temperatures still running at or below freezing across our
southeast so expanded the Winter Weather Advisory down that way
where a mixed bag of pcpn will remain possible into this
afternoon. Elsewhere have made some overall upward adjustments
to snow amounts across the area.

It has been 27 days since we have last seen measurable snow at CVG. Glad we made up for lost time!

What snowy days are made for. Wore him out with sledding down our backyard hill and of course every kid wants a snowman. Now on to clearing the white gold. So far an easy 5" IMBY in Monroe.

Perfect timing as the sky is getting brighter. I am also predicting the Eagles have a good chance of winning the game against the Giants.

Welcome back! Haven't seen you around in a while. Hope all is well. :) I agree... lots of folks are going to be in that 4-6"+ range for sure.
Eh, life is keeping me busy. I pretty much just check in when there is severe weather or in the winter. Just not enjoying today because I had plans based on what the NWS said and I didn't have an opportunity to check in here until today. Back to lightly falling snow here :)

I heard my wx radio go off and I'm like yep! The storm is winding down now and here comes the warning. Classic ILN, just classic! Going to put down 5" for this one IMBY.

Some thoughts regsrding the roads...pretreatment has its place. If we had received some light freezing rain and snow showers as forecasted, it would have helped keep the roads wet during the start of precipitation. I live over in Indiana, and the state does a lot of pretreatment to help out before the trucks can cover all the miles of road.

But today, with the heavy snowfall rates, it doesn't help. Heck even with tons of salt the heavier snowfall will overcome it until plowed.

I was out in the thick of things during the heavy bands this morning. Everyone is playing catch-up and waited too long to roll plows.

Hey Ryan! I know there has been a debate for years on this topic and I'm one of those people who don't really care for it even though a lot of folks don't mind it at all. Everyone has their own opinions on it which is what makes our forum so great. How much do you have out there?

ILN should have a teleconference with IND and PAD e.g. for some pointers. :thumbupright:
