Wow... fantastic!!! Tim, we are going to bust low in some areas LOL I'm okay with that! Closing in on 2" with the grass almost completely covered.

Les we had the correct ideal and no perfect way to hit everyone's snow total.

Yep! The meteorology was 100% correct and that's what truly matters. Besides, no one will complain that we busted in the right direction. ;) Radar looks wonderful with another heavy band over our hoods now.

Traffic cams show even some of the interstates looking snow covered and slick so you know side roads and such will be slippery! Hopefully no one has to go anywhere until things improve this afternoon but if you do, take it easy!

You know it! Don’t have to be to work until 1 so just hanging around. Maggie is loving the snow. She’s sitting at the window mesmerized 😂

How do you have now? I would assume a couple of inches by now if not more?

Had a brief break from the heavier snow but it has started once again. Have not measured and will here in an hour or so but probably between 2-3 inches is my guess

Smaller flakes, still falling. Husband went to pick up youngest from a sleepover so curious to hear about roads. He's been up and about for a while (morning person) and in his truck.

Curious to see if Oldest kid's basket game still on at 3p. My guess is probably. At least it's at one of the closest schools to our house.

Not an official measurement but I’d say 3” here so far just eyeballing it.

Sorry Matt... we knew it was going to be tough for the SE portion of our area for snowfall. Hopefully the UKIE will be right for the next storm.

You know my feelings on snow, but this is ideal IMO. “Warm snows” like this are best since nothing really ices up.

4-5” seems doable up this way based on radar trends.

The biggest flakes so far with this system. Bust on the low side to say the least.

Mesoscale Discussion 0085
NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK
0829 AM CST Sun Jan 22 2023

Areas affected...portions of southwest into central Ohio

Concerning...Heavy snow

Valid 221429Z - 221730Z

SUMMARY...Bouts of heavy snow are likely through the morning. 1+
inch/hour rates may briefly occur in spots.

DISCUSSION...Deep-layer warm-air/moisture advection is taking place
across the eastern OH Valley into the central Appalachians in
response to an approaching mid-level trough. Across southwest into
central OH, sub-freezing tropospheric profiles are in place, where
heavy snow reports have also recently been received. RAP forecast
soundings depict near saturation from the surface to 700 mb,
suggesting ample moisture for efficient snowfall production exists
within the dendritic growth zone (roughly -12 to -17C layer). As
such, heavy snow (including 1+ inch/hr rates) may continue for the
next couple of hours across southwest into central OH, as also
depicted by recent runs of the HRRR. Thereafter, the strong warm-air
advection may warm the lower levels to above-freezing temperatures
across eastern OH, where a transition to a wintry mix is likely.
