I'm looking for rain mostly here...maybe some wrap around tomorrow night. Putting more hope in the midweek system.

Wish I had better news for your area Matt. You might start out as snow briefly but you will flip to rain quickly unfortunately. If I am wrong about that then I'll def overachieve here! Anyway, you will see the snow shower action Sun night into Monday which hopefully will give you a little something.

0Z NAM coming in showing a bit of rain for CVG but then mostly snow after that. All snow of course points north from there. QPF wise, CVG gets about 0.22". DAY gets 0.29" all snow. Highs at CVG on this model is about 34. If we can remain all snow down here then 1-2" is doable and for the I-70 Crew I could see 2-3"+. Tim called this before I did so he deserves the credit. Hopefully Mother Nature will agree with the guidance. Current temps as of 9pm are 29 CVG and I am down to 26! NAM keeps the snow shower machine going into Monday morning with an additional 0.07" of QPF at CVG. Going to be an interesting system as I've said.

Well decided to take a break from football 21-0. Going to be fun to see how this plays out on Sunday. Will there be busts and almost every storm that happens but this one is not a big bust as we know the fine line between rain/snow is thin. Love to see 1-2 Les and maybe a little more later Sunday into early Monday.

28-0 now at the half! What a blow out! Anyway, tomorrow morning is going to be interesting for sure to see how this plays out. Love seeing that moisture coming up from the south. Just hope our temp can maintain.

0Z RGEM has an inch for CVG, and 3" for the I-70 folks. So basically 1-3" is a good call from S to N across the area.

This is why I come here for weather forecasts....
The Weather app is calling for 3"-5", but the special weather statement on the same app says 1"-2". 🤔

Good morning all! 31 / 28 IMBY with snow! Everything has a dusting on it. Grass, cars, driveway, my street! Finally looks like January if only for a short while. CVG also reporting light snow and 31 with 2.5 mile visibility. QPF at the airport as of 7am 0.03". So we will be finally adding a bit to our seasonal total today! Radar looks great! Nice banding for the Metro right up I-71 and the Dayton area should be seeing some nice flakes as well! SPC Mesopage this morning shows a small low of 1010 MB over extreme SE KY with another broad low over the Gulf Coast states. Pressure falls has that low headed towards Atlanta, GA with more deep pressure falls off the SE Coast where a new low will eventually form to give snow to interior New England later today and tomorrow. Fantastic frontogenic forcing as well at 700 MB is helping to create the lift needed for the heavier snow bands and thus, keeping a lot of us all snow this morning which was needed for our forecast to have a chance at verifying.

Surface temps: You've gotta smell the rain to see the snow as we've said.

Gorgeous pic!!! Thanks for being a member here. :) Can't stand those weather apps as they are all computer generated with no human analysis. I don't mind looking at radar, getting watches and warnings, etc though. That's really all they are useful for.

Good Morning and nice to see snow falling. Roads are covered and I thought there would be more on the trees but that is not the case. Les I believe the forecast is looking good and though never a perfect forecast it seems we are on target. Hopefully this is just the appetizer and we get the main course mid-week.

Dynamic cooling for the win! HRRR was a little too cold but it had the right idea along with the RGEM. NAM was too warm.

Always a day late and a dollar short. I would have had one issued NW of I-71 at the very least last night.

Les here is the problem I believe sometimes when trying to make a forecast. You believe the forecast you throw out is good but with this storm the NAM was too warm. So that is in the back of your mind which model is correct. I believe last night when we saw the temps drop into the mid-upper 20's that was a good sign. This storm you don't have a big surge of milder air into the system. BTW moderate to almost heavy snow falling.WOW. Will we miss on the low end
