0.67" as of 6am at CVG - Event total so far. One more day of wetness to go before we dry out and warm up! I am continuing to go dry Fri - the weekend. Temps in the mid to upper 80s also this weekend. Daily T-storm chances return along with humidity and the 80s for a good chunk of next week.
Good Morning and muggy outside and that will continue today with showers and thundershowers that should expand later this morning through the evening. The rain will end from northwest to southeast and folks towards Indy may not see to much rainfall but heading towards Lexington expect a wet afternoon and early evening. This has been a great rainfall though I thought totals would be somewhat higher but we still have today so maybe we get that 1 inch at CVG. The weekend will feel more like summer and the dry weather will help in getting those lawns mowed once again. Next week looks stormy which I will take this time of year. Still looking for July and August to be hot and rather dry but we have time to look at those months once we get closer.
Another band of showers and thundershowers headed this way. The low is over southwest Kentucky heading northeast. Will the next band help in keeping the severe chances down is something to look at and still folks south and east of the area have the best shot of getting severe weather but again not widespread but always need to put in the forecast
We'll see, but a lot of clouds out there so instability is going to be tough despite the shear being good. Def should keep the severe threat in the isolated category.
67 so far for my high today... 66 now with a steady light rain. Severe threat IMHO is going to be reduced unless a dry slow can punch up in here ahead of the low for a few hours. That's going to be the only chance to pull it off. I did hear some thunder earlier to add to the festive feel.

I agree Les and folks to the south and east will have the best shot and mainly towards Lexington.
Had a few thunder storms here, nothing severe with a few shots of light to mod rain. Nothing very heavy. More perfect rain for the lawn and plants and now we'll turn up the heat. Things should explode growth wise. CVG has 0.80" event total as of 3pm.

Very strange we only had a little sun - guess that was just enough to blow these storms up
The wind energy and helicity due to low placement are fine. The lack of CAPE is exactly what made me downplay the whole thing severe wise. Did you get anything severe at all or just a strong storm?

Nothing severe just a lot of CG lighting and heavy rain. Not much wind at all here and no hail.
ILN mentions patchy fog for tonight bit i think it could be more extensive than patchy with the area wide rains. Something to watch out for in the morning
