It has been an amazingly low year so far, record setting in fact. Lots of quakes and volcanic eruptions too. Our planet is always moving, changing.

Low to mid 70s already this morning. The 85-90 trend continues for several more days.

Have been packing as my folks and myself will head out Mon morning for a mini trip to an Amish resort area at Shipshewana, IN. :) Will be back sometime Thurs. Shipshewana is near the MI border not far from South Bend.

Currently 77 here in G'ville and going for around 83 later. :sunny:

Thank you very much, Les! :)

We've been to another Amish resort region in the eastern OH town of Sugarcreek i.e. etc. a few times, so thought we'd try a new area this time around. :)

While in that Sugarcreek area we've done to 2 Amish Tours via a shuttle bus and thoroughly enjoyed the fellowship and meals with the host families. :)

If you, your folks, bro and his family ever get a chance to, its a neat cultural experience. :thumbupleft:

Just one thing, though, if you want to take a pic of any Amish individual, ask their permission first, as they see photographs as like an idol and vanity, part of their Anabaptist faith tenet. ;)

...DISCUSSION...
Medium-range model guidance is in better agreement in showing a
mid-level disturbance moving eastward across the central U.S. into
the OH Valley during the Wednesday-Friday (Day 4-6) period. A risk
for strong to severe thunderstorms will probably accompany this
disturbance but uncertainty remains too high regarding placement of
potential severe probabilities. Model spread increases considerably
by next weekend with predictability concerns apparent, despite some
signal for a progressive mid-level trough moving across the West and
towards the High Plains.

Wed continues to look like the day for the rain chances to begin and the pattern change to commence. ATTM, looking cooler and wetter going into the June. How long does it last? First 10 days right now looking possible.

Good Monday morning to you all! I have no changes to my forecast. Upper 80sd, perhaps 90 today and tomorrow then we bring the rain chances in. By this weekend, we're back into the low to mid 70s for highs which would feel wonderful! POPS wise, Wed, Thurs, and Fri look to carry rain chances. Dry Sat thru perhaps even Memorial Day now if current model projections hold.

So it's the last pane in the 12z NAM.....however I am desperate as this severe weather season has been non-existent, but it looks like an MCS comes across Indiana on Thursday afternoon/evening towards us. I will take anything at this point LOL

Last couple of GFS runs have been trying to do that via NW Flow on Friday. Current GFS still looks good for a frontal passage Friday setting us up for a cooler, less humid and gorgeous Holiday Weekend.

Just spent an hour and 40 minutes at the BMV for license renewal :tappingfoot: . There has to be a better system, doesn't there?

I got my Real ID here in KY easily. Made an appointment. Went to the Regional Licensing center then about 2 weeks later, the ID came in the mail. I got it for 8 years. My tags for my car, also renewed online and came in the mail in less then a week. I know KY sucks for a lot of things, but a few things they do right.

Yeah... I was thrilled! 25 bucks for 4 years or 40-something for 8. It was a no brainer.

88 here and at CVG today. Tomorrow won't count for the contest but it's the best chance for an 89 or a 90 for the month of May. Rest of May won't be nearly this warm.

Good Morning and yesterday was by far the warmest day of the year and I felt the warmth while mowing. Rain and we are about 1 1/2 inches below normal for the year but 2 inches below normal since March 1st which is a better stat. Would be nice to have a good 1-2 inch soaking over the next 4 days but my guess is it will be more hit and miss so some folks may get over 1 inch but my guess is .5-1 inches is the more likely outcome for most folks. Has been cool so that has help us with below normal rainfall but June is such an important month in terms of rainfall and how hot the summer will turn out. Still working on my summer forecast but still believe going with a rather hot summer so when I make my 90 degree call for the contest no doubt I will probably be higher than most folks. Going to enjoy the Memorial day weekend as the weather looks rather nice but cool for this time of year but I can finish the major yard projects while the temps are nice.

61 in my hood this morning, CVG is checking in with 66 degrees. 87-90 should do it today for most locations. Last 100% dry day too as we bring in POPS (scattered) by tomorrow. Friday still holds the best chance region wide. Then we are greeted by a wonderful Holiday Weekend. Might not hit 70 Sat and in the 70s Sun and Mon. Lows in the 40s and 50s. I know folks like the pool by Memorial Day but not this year. Should have done that this past week.

I have to water my new plants but hope I don't have to fire up the sprinklers on the lawn this early. My pocketbook would not be happy! so far, so good so as long as the rains pan out, Wed / Fri we should be just fine. Would like to get an inch out of the deal at the very least.
