Per radar, the steady rain is starting to come to an end over SE IN and will do so shortly for NKY and eventually SW Ohio as well. I think just scattered action for a while after that. We'll have to wait and see if anything new pops later, or are we done until tomorrow? 12Z NAM keeps things scattered, while the 12Z HRRR brings in another decent round of rain to the Tri-state Thurs afternoon.

12Z GFS likes Thurs night as the next heavy batch of rain to move thru the area.

ILN has dropped all flood watches now for the area. Although additional rain is expected in some places thru Fri morning, it's not going to be heavy or widespread enough for an areal flood watch.

Thanks to the sun, we should be able to see low to mid 80s this afternoon. This may spark off a scattered storm mainly north of the river in that 5-8pm range thanks to the added heating. Otherwise, I'm still going scattered for coverage until Thurs night when I expect another decent round for the Tri-state.

Thanks to the clearing, we've got a small line of storms now for I-70 folks just south of the interstate from near Richmond, IN on over towards the Dayton area.

The call for today is hazy, warm, and humid. Mid to upper 80s for temps. I'm only expecting isolated storms today with the best shot coming overnight as previously discussed. The action lingers into Friday morning then it's over until late Sunday. Sat is a beauty so make plans!

Had 0.35" from the morning rain in my hood. Those evening storms were quite potent up in the WPAFB/Fairborn area (NE Dayton). My wife was at Fairfield Commons Mall and said the rain was torrential and it was causing flooding in the parking lot. A couple CocoRaHs reports show 2-3" in this area and most of this fell in less than an hour.

North of the river looks like slim pickings for tonight unless you are a fan of the GFS LOL

That is how it started in STL. Luckily, the storms fizzled out and didn't keep going all night from a strong LLJ.

I don't particularly care for any of the models to be honest. Some have done better then others mind you. HRRR has been consistent for the Metro and the 6Z run still has action overnight. If it busts it busts, just noting how that solution has been showing up since yesterday at this time.

That's basically it. Day 1 of the flood watch yielded like 0.10" or thereabouts for CVG. Day 2 had an inch of rain for yesterday. The flood watch really wasn't needed unless you were west and south of Metro Cincy. 2-4"+ of rain fell in those areas.

12Z Euro gives CVG 0.68" of rain tonight. It has not shifted south like all other models have done. I'll be amazed if the Euro gets this one right to be honest.

I'll give it a 30% chance of widely scattered t-showers for AVland, much like the whole week has been except for a 6 hour period yesterday. We were luck to get yesterdays rains as the front just wouldn't budge in Central and Southern KY
