NAM looks interesting for Tue re: severe threat. If trends continue they will upgrade us one would think.

Here in Greenville, they test the tornado siren every 1st Mon of the month. Doubtful that they will tomorrow since a risk of severe.

Currently 73 here.

Just got back from a weekend quick trip to WV and got the grass mowed. Looking at the forecast, I made it just in time!

I of course got back too late to mow and cut my spinach for the last time. Oh well... will get it done this coming week whenever the weather will allow me too.

I had 79 here today with 0.01" now in the books as the first round of light rain moves in this evening. I have not looked at a model but I assume the 1-2" rainfall call thru the next couple of days is still good? SPC continues with a slight risk tomorrow and marginal risk on Tuesday then we cool down.

0.14" as of 6am at CVG. An active pattern for this week 100%. We continue to watch the storm and heavy rain threats for today and tomorrow. Any leftover action ends Wed with cooler temps. Thurs is dry. Rain chances return Fri thru this weekend.

SPC has us in the slight risk today, with an enhanced risk from LOU back to the SW. For tomorrow, a slight risk for folks in the SE and a marginal risk for everyone else.

Good Morning and heading into a very wet period over the next 2 weeks. This is great news as we head towards summer. Very possible over the next 2 weeks we can get 2-4 inches and of course some folks will get more if under a strong thunderstorm that produces heavy amounts of rain in a short period. Temp wise will probably end up near normal as fronts will be near us over those 2 weeks. Grass is lush and green and we are in the 2 times a week in terms of mowing grass.

Interesting chart and funny as my son and daughter were born in 1983 and 1988 and both summers were very hot .Will this be a hot summer and I am still going in that direction but a rainy May and June could help somewhat that we don't have an extended hot spell like we did in those 2 years.

Forgot to empty the rain gauge. Going by my last amount that was in there, I am guessing 4 tenths to 5 tenths of an inch. Weather underground is showing 6 tenths close to my home. So maybe a little more than I thought.

This mornings SPC Outlook has us in the Slight Risk, with the Enhanced risk just SW of us. Even the discussion talks about possibly changing the outlook with later updates. It wouldn't surprise me if we landed in the enhanced outlook area.

Seeing some breaks in the clouds and it is very humid here. Amount of instability is the question as usual for us.

Cracking 70 down here.... very humid. 1000 J/kg now of CAPE along and S of the river. Bulk shear is lacking so agree with the marginal risk.

Good Afternoon and sprinkles this afternoon so not to bad of day. Three chances in the next 36 hours to get hit with rain and maybe some storms. Already seeing a severe thunderstorm watch out to the west. The first chance will be late this evening as a dying area of storms heads this way. Not sure how much of that system will be left when it gets here. The second chance is early Tuesday as an area from the southwest heads this way with a boost from the jet stream and this may produce a period of heavy rain early in the morning and not ruling out thunder as well. Then we wait until the cold front comes through here later Tuesday and the could also bring in some rain and depending on how unstable we get some storms as well. Wednesday and Thursday will bring us cooler and somewhat drier air but can't rule out a scattered shower either day but outdoor plans should be fine. The weekend brings another chance of rain and to early to say how much but at this point one if not both days could end up with some rainfall. So a very soggy period to say the least but I will take this over a really dry pattern this time of year.
