Thanks! Pouring/windy here now. Our dog is not a fan of thunder, so my oldest is comforting him. Just got a huge flash of lightning.

Just saw a streak of lightning here in G'ville.

Currently at 73.

Glad the Redlegs are in Phoenix, at least having dry heat there.

Same here Joe though we have got some nice lightning strikes nearby and gusty winds. Some rainfall but nothing like last week. Wow Tuesday is going to fill like a sauna around here with the added moisture in the ground.
Ugh, can’t wait Tim, NOT! We have to look forward to the weekend for some relief
Joe your upcoming weekend trip looks nice though.

Good evening! Not a drop here. Just wind, thunder, and lightning as I reported earlier. Temp went from a high of 91 imby to 72 currently. Dew dropped from 80 to 67 so much better lol

So are we done? Unless something odd happens it is looking like it. Watching storms erupting near Chicago. That MCS that went over Milwaukee earlier, crossing Lake Michigan now (It will slam SW Lower MI shortly) anyway... it sent out an outflow boundary were new storms ignited for Chicago with a tornado warning in effect up that way and a new TOR watch was also issued. This is the second round we are watching that should miss most of us on here minus Northern and NE counties later on tonight.

Downtown Chicago may get whacked by this thing... wow... big storm has tops around 65K feet! Very strong rotation. Cubs game getting ready to start. This isn't good for those folks.

Prayers with the fans and players in Chitown.

Glad the Redlegs are in AZ. There is of course a Red Flag Warning nearby though.

Looks like the main rotation will miss downtown Chicago to the SW (as the SW portion of that supercell is dropping due south). No tornado on the ground yet just a rotating wall cloud. 80 mph winds also reported with numerous trees and powerlines down. Midway AP is going to get creamed by it. Downtown Chicago still getting very heavy rain at this time.

For us... we should be done for the night minus the northern / NE counties as we've mentioned earlier. You all will want to keep an eye on the Chicago and MI cells as they drop SSE overnight.

EDIT: Hey there WxNut!

Grabbed a couple pics from the fireworks shop in Greendale. Just a couple sprinkles, a few gusts of wind, and some distant thunder/lightning. Power did go out for a bit.

Bam's thoughts on the developing MCV. A southward movement as opposed to a more eastward movement. Now cast for sure.

The MCV if it stays on course should reach Dayton and Columbus. Unless it turns more south, Cincinnati will hopefully be spared. Duke and other utility crews can use the time to restore service.

ILN seems to be hedging their bets though. A few hours ago Fairfield's forecast was clearing overnight and Dayton had a 30% chance of storms. Now I see Fairfield has a 30% chance of storms and Dayton 50%.

So the main MCS show last night missed me to the NE as expected. Did end up with 0.48" from the round yesterday evening.

Still nearly 400,000 people without power across Ohio (over 85,000 in Hamilton-Butler-Warren alone) so hopefully folks can get back online due to the excessive heat coming today.

Good Morning. That was an exciting afternoon and early evening. Got some rainfall here and enough so the plants were taken care of. No doubt I underestimated the heat as I thought 92 would be the highest we could go with dew points being so high. Very impressive to say the least. Sort of funny as usually these extended heat periods gradually form and that is usually with an extended dry period. That has not been the case at all and to tie the all time dew point temp yesterday is impressive. So 3 more days before we get relief this weekend. The heat will return but I expect the heat not to be as impressive but still hot enough. That looks to be short-lived as well with another cold front later next week. So yes hot and humid but we are not seeing a 2-3 week period where there are no breaks and that makes a difference on the body and the ac.
