New SPC Day 1 outlook now has Columbus in the enhanced risk for the severe MCS later tonight. Rest of us still in slight awaiting a trigger.

Noticed this wording in new Day 1 outlook as well:

An upgrade to Moderate Risk may still be warranted across parts of
the region (particularly Lower Michigan, northern Indiana and/or
Ohio) pending subsequent observational trends and increased
confidence in a preferred sub-regional corridor of intense storm
development.

Last several runs of HRRR have backed off on showing much down in the tri-state today other than some pop ups.

Overall not too enthusiastic about our chances down this way today other than pop ups (isolated severe).

I thought the hashed wind area covering more Ohio posters was interesting on their update. 88 / 80 here... unbearable outside!

Dew point at 80, this might be a record for June though it doesn't appear we keep those records. The last 78F dewpoint I could find was in 2019 in July. Ugly ugly outside!

Mark, all time high dew point is 81 set in June of 1975. Dew points are highest most years in mid-late June because of vegetation and hours of sunlight. July and August can be high but not at June records.

Seeing storms pop along the IL/IN border - this is the region to watch for potential MCS development. Parameters here continue to be quite impressive for severe weather. I'm sticking to my guns. :)

Good thing about the high dew points is it will keep temperatures in check. If this kind of dew points happen the next 2 days then 92 would be the highest we could reach. I expect dew points to be less on Tuesday and even more so on Wednesday.

Sort of wild though that the highest dew point was in June of 1975 which was in the final year of a 3 year La Nina.

Record was 81 set back at 6pm EDT on June 18, 1975. Mbricker found it and it's on the previous page.

My basement windows look like they are fogged in. With the difference in heat outside compared to my nice and cold man cave I know have frosted windows.
