It has been relentless! Going to make for some bumpy fishing next week I'm afraid. Going to tuck in behind the Islands.

Light rain is knocking on our door this evening coming in from the west. Mod pockets possible as the night goes on.

No rain with this last system here and at CVG. Looks like two main batches of rain went north and south of Cincinnati. So typical, but that's fine with me so I can get things done before I leave for my trip.

Cloudy now with sun increasing this afternoon. Highs 55 to 60. Frost tomorrow morning on the Easter Eggs but sunny and dry... 50 to 55.

CVG got down to 35, 33 here with a light frost earlier. Happy Easter, kick you in the Keister!!!

Look for some snow and rain mixed to enter the picture early tomorrow morning. May even get some of it to stick where I'm going. Lovely... But 80 by next weekend so a nice trade off at least.

It maybe a little summer preview if the Euro is right. It's been much stronger with the ridge vs the GFS. The ridge will break down early in the following week but a 3 day period or so of U70s to L80 degree temps are possible.

A late season coating of snow could be on tap for areas north of I-70 tomorrow morning. We always have to be skeptical of any accumulation this time of year, but nonetheless, most models are spitting out a couple of inches in eastern Indiana and western Ohio tomorrow morning. I wouldn't think more than an inch could accumulate after sunrise this time of year. Shouldn't be too big of a deal.

I am currently camping at Mammoth Cave. Checked my doorbell camera and it shows a whitening of the ground and still coming down.

HUGE flakes here at the Woodpile. Whole ground is covered and an inch on top of the hot tub cover. Visibility less than 1/4 mile. Love April. Grandma Wooly though is not happy. Can't work in the garden and the rhubarb isn't growing.

Let's hope the long range GFS is incorrect because after a nice warmup from THU of this week through next MON, we are back in the funk of below normal temps into the first of May if this run is correct. Euro pretty much states the same thing as well.

Probably 2 inches or so on the ground in Richmond, Indiana. Crazy that it accumulated that much after sunrise this late in April!

12z GFS continues to look quite cold as we head into the first week of May (after the brief taste of summer this weekend).
