Good evening all! I saw some sun earlier as well. 68 / 61 for my current conditions with 0.33" for rainfall so far today. CVG checking in with 0.27" So okay any severe wx for us tonight? Possible... we need to watch that bowing segment approaching I-65. Currently... winds to 70 mph and imbedded spin ups are possible. We have CAPE S of the River over NKY about 500 J/kg and LOU has 1000. We'll see if that can be enough for some local strong winds in that 9-10 pm range.

Good Evening and no doubt most should see some strong straight line winds this evening. My guess its a situation that the winds only last for a short time but can bring down some tree limbs. Tornado's and not sure we see any this far north and east but again better safe than sorry with any thunderstorms. Everything is moving quickly so I would say anytime after 8pm we can see some storms in the local area but hopefully by 11p or midnight most of the area should be left just with some rainfall.

We have some helicity, about 200, but the higher values of 300+ are down by LOU. Bulk shear is great.. plenty of wind energy 50 knots I-75 corridor lower to the east, higher, over Indiana.. 60 knots there. So storms should weaken as they move into our hoods (Tristate folks) after that. Cincy on west has best severe threat for AV country and north to south... you wanna be S of river.

Good morning! Looks like the winds were only about 30 mph here with the line but it blew up to around 50 mph to my East. Saw a 75 mph wind gust SW of us by a few counties on a KY Mesonet site sensor :o All is quiet now. Went from 60 around 3am with the frontal passage to around 43 right now as of this post. A decent drop! CVG picked up 1.25" event total and I got 1.39". A nice soaking!

1.11" was my total from this system. Gusted to 36 mph when the front blew through around 3:30 this morning, and had a few rumbles of thunder yesterday evening.
