Did some measurements in the past half hour in flat places and the biggest total on my property via the front yard i.e. is 5 inches. :) Scattered drifting, too, on my property including the front porch! 8-)

Did some shoveling and dad did some snowblowing. :)

At the WHIO7 website found some totals and Congratulations to Versailles being the 1st place winner from Darke! 8-)

Congratulations Arcanum at 2nd place! 8-)

Congratulations Greenville at 3rd place! 8-)

DARKE COUNTY:

Versailles: 10 inches

Arcanum: 8.5 inches

Greenville: 6 inches

Bradford: 5.6 inches

Main roads and interstates are looking much better on traffic cams now. Neighborhood streets are still a mess I am sure like they are here.

Our street is clear. There is something different about Ohio streets and Kentucky ones when it comes to snow.

winterstormjoe wrote: Fri Feb 04, 2022 9:53 am The snow looked nice for about 15 min...It just whitened the cleared path that the plow scraped off an hour ago on my street.

I'm going to see how the snow blower can tackle this caked ice on my driveway later on today. Ugh!
talked to my downstreet neighbor; he was working over his with his snowblower, but said it basically takes off only the little bit of snow on top. The layer of ice doesn't really budge. I'm trying the heat from my car. I ran it last night to clear off the stuff that built up all day and noticed the pavement underneath was showing this morning, so i've moved to a different spot and warming it up again now for 10 minutes. Will see if that does anything in a couple hours.

If you’re an elderly forum member or someone with a heart condition, please be careful. That ice is no joke.

I don't think I'm going to mess with mine until Sunday once it starts to soften up in the afternoon.

Holy crap! I tried it. I actually tried to shovel. Got the first 2" off easy. That was powdery snow. But you're not getting down to the pavement without a lot of sweater and muscle and salt. Nooo thank you! I'm not 25 anymore. It can wait and it'll melt on its own. Screw it lol
