Another HSLC event for overnight. Should at least see a more solid line with the cold front than a couple days ago and some patchy heavy downpours. Another quick mover though so not expecting excess rain issues

Les I will be over lol. It was a sauna down here yesterday with the nearly 2 inches of rain the night before and temp got up to 83 I believe. Heading back home on Tuesday which looks like the best travel day. I do believe after the cold shot later this week that we should be off to the races and expecting a nice warm April but of course with that severe weather is something we will need to watch.

Looks like we are just about average in terms of precip so far this year which is a good . Below normal for March but hopefully by April 1st we get another inch or so as getting rainfall between mid-March and mid-July is key because that is the rainy season for us. I saw the other day where Brian on one of his video's mentioned there were signs that summer could be normal or slightly below normal in terms of temps. That would be wonderful and I was really going the other way as I thought we would be above normal in temps.

Hi Mike,

You have a lightning counter device? :) Is it part of your home wx station set up or an app on your cell / smart phone? :)

51 currently here. Picked up 0.62" overnight. CVG picked up 0.88" :O Next chance for rain comes Tues night into Wed then we get a couple days of cold weather... highs in the 40s, lows in the 20s before we warm up again. Good Friday thru Easter weekend currently looks nice!

Good Morning and the rain just started but looks like a quick in and out here locally so probably between 0.25-0.5 seems good. Nice warm up early in the week with a really strong cold front mid-week that will bring another round of rain and some decent cold air. The good thing this time of year is the cold usually only lasts a few days. Totals for rainfall mid-week could be in the .50-.75 at home and down here in Greenville 1-2 inches very likely as strong cold fronts this time of year can get hung up. Love seeing the rain in the southern plains over the past week and more to come. Severe weather may get a break early in April but I believe it will ramp up again in about 2 weeks or so. How cold will we get Friday morning and can we get to 25 or so?

Hey Eric! I did with my old weather station, but when I got the new one I just bought an acurite portal lightning detector and keep it on the desk near my display. You can also clip it on your belt for use outdoors!

I agree Tim... Wed and Thurs look for highs in the 40s. AO and NAO take a brief dip. Lows in the mid to upper 20s looks good. Depends on clouds and wind of course for good cooling conditions. Then, I think we moderate esp mid month on. Look for a stormy 2nd half of April imo.

Hi Tim and Happy Palm Sunday to you and your family! :)

Glad for a lull in the severe as many folks picking up the pieces in the storm-battered South.

Looks like currently a Marginal risk from northeast TX to central / northern MS on Wed to finish out March, but then a quiet pattern for a while the 1st half of April.

I got up to 51 or 52 earlier, now dropping... down to 47 now. Cloudy skies and winds to 20 mph or so. A bit of a wind chill out there today.
