1 Capitol officer, suspect dead after driver slams car into officers

Happened early this afternoon near the Senate side of bldg at a barricade and a knife-wielding man got out of his car whose been identified as a Nation of Islam radical. Assailant was shot and killed. Officer William "Billy" Evans, an 18 yr veteran of the Capitol PD was critically injured and succumbed to his injuries.
His police partner is in the hospital.
Prayers and thoughts with the family of Officer Evans and with Officer (unidentified?) and their family, and the Capitol PD.
