Absolute Vorticity

Good afternoon all!

It is that time of year again when we're in spring mode but the heat of summer is lurking off in the distance. The annual CVG 90 degree contest is back! Do you think it'll be a hot summer or a cool one? Maybe normal? CVG averages (22) 90 degree days in a season. One thing that'll be interesting is do we see a resurgence of La Nina? That might have to factor into our guesses.

Please get your guesses in by Saturday, May 31 at 12am EDT. The contest runs from June 1st thru Sept 30th. Only 90 degree day highs and above during those months will be counted as part of the contest. We are also bringing back the BONUS CVG got 89'ed! part of the contest so enter your number of days there as well. That will be used in the event of a tie breaker.

An interesting guess on snowfall there Dave. Are you going to use that date for the snowfall contest this fall? That would be awesome if correct.

We'll see; I actually used that same post for last year's contest, I just edited my numbers some. But I'd be happy if we got measurable snow then, as long as it didn't mean we went "dry" for the next two months!
