Pavement totally gone now on the driveway from when I shoveled around noon. Love it! Winds getting a little frisky. CVG recorded a 26 mph gust at 3pm.

So glad I don't have to face that drive, Trev. Now when I'm done working in 24 mins, it's grab a beer instead!

Yeah a special weather statement isn’t going to cover it. They either need to issue a snow squall warning or a winter weather advisory.

Slows downs and wrecks are piling up now on 275 on the top side of the loop. 71 and 75 also. It's going to be a bad commute almost everywhere in the Tri-state.

I've posted the data all day showing this was coming. Lapse rates, frontogenic forcing, and squall parameters maps along with radar trends told the story clearly.

I'm not in that heavier stuff yet, but it's a steady light snow here with embedded larger flakes.

It's dropping kind of SSE so the majority of the Metro area should be on the receiving end of this very nicely for the next couple of hours.

It seems as if many of the counties given a winter weather advisory are not seeing the heaviest of the snows this afternoon. It's more into southwest Ohio as opposed to southeast Indiana.
