What time is the rain to arrive later today? Thanks!
Hey there Joe! I think the more steady / moderate rainfall will be moving in late today into this evening. If I had to guess, it would be in that 5-7pm window.

I agree Les and at first some dry air to overcome but should be in that 5-7 when we start to see the light rain at first and the further southwest you live the quicker it gets to your area. Could be a nice rainy overnight period and still going .5-1.0 but leaning towards the higher amount

Between this rain and temps to 50 today and possibly near 60 tomorrow that should do it with the snow that was in the shaded areas from the sun except for the piles at the end of the driveways and parking lots. Things will also be a little cleaner out there! Now, we'll have a clean slate for the next snow fall hopefully in the near future!

I'll be glad once the ice is gone off my driveway that is for sure.
I love snow but hate the ice associated with it.

I have some shady areas out back which are very icy and was finally able to get a ruler in the ice and still 4 inches in one area. Snow rather easy to melt with the sun but ice this time of year and the amount we had needs some really mild air and of course rainfall.

No doubt Tim. 40s or 50 degrees and rain will take care of it.

I saw a few showers on the way home but nothing major. The steadier rain is moving into LOU now so the call for the timing is looking good that we stated earlier. We'll see how we do. Still like the 0.50 to 1" call for the region with your heavier amounts south of us in LOU's forecast area. Some 2" plus amounts down there seem likely. I suppose a few of you will see 1.5" like totals which can happen if we do see t-storms getting involved but we are splitting hairs.
Most don't care if a rainfall call is blown too badly. You don't notice as much like you do with snow.

Just watching the radar and near term models there will be a sharp cutoff between having less than a 1/4 of rain and over 1 inch. That cutoff looks to be just to the northwest of us. The rain shield only going so far north before it shifts east and how far north does it go before it stops. Still believe .5-.1 seems good locally but just to the northwest there is going to be that sharp cutoff. Folks south and southeast should have no problem being in that 1-2 inch range and some higher.
