Lot of sleet from the RGEM but the deform band lingers into midday Friday which is nice.

Most models in agreement on CVG changing over around 4am with problems developing IMO in that 8-10am range and beyond. GooFuS is running now so we'll see what happens there.

EDIT: Add the GFS now to this list. I think this is a great call for the Metro / CVG Land.

Pretty cool. Indiana has cameras on their plow trucks. You can see their pictures here.

In and near Memphis i.e. could exceed .75" of accretion!! :o

GFS still changing Metro over to snow Thurs evening and has the deform band sticking around to midday Fri. Hope to see that occur! 4" would be possible here with this sort of timing.

10:1 snow map has 8" at CVG, but I'll believe it when I see it. I do believe 4" is realistic for CVG if the GFS is correct.

Some of that is guaranteed to be sleet. There isn’t a model product for sleet accumulation, which cuts down on snow.

Those snow maps are bad. 10:1 ratio and it adds sleet as snow fall.

What are your thoughts on the wind? Maybe it helps the cold air freeze the rain quicker tomorrow and then blowing and drifting snow too.

12Z CMC has heavy snow NW counties... sleet storm I-71 Corridor and ice storm SE counties. Seems to fit the theme of the forecast very well.

Wind is going to be 20-30 mph in gusts so bad news for areas that get major freezing rain. Power outages likely. blowing snow likely in areas where it snows heavier. It's going to be a problem.
