We're done here for now... CMH Land should see some flurries or light snow for a little bit as well.

18Z NAM gives CVG 0.11" of QPF tonight into tomorrow. Euro had 0.09" Wow... no idea of this will occur but if so, we should see a dusting out of this you would think.

Update from the boys:
.NEAR TERM /UNTIL 6 AM FRIDAY MORNING/...
A wsw-ene boundary will continue to drift southeast this evening
as incoming moisture interacts with it and creates snow over the
southern 1/2 of forecast area. Generally looking at 1/2" or less
from the boundary`s current location running from Batesville to
Hamilton to Washington Court House. Further to the south,
looking for around an inch to fall from Owenton to Maysville to
Chillicothe and areas southward. Have not received any mping
reports of drizzle which was a small concern earlier. As of now,
ptype threat is only snow but the moisture intersects nicely
with the DGZ and good snow ratios are expected this overnight
period in the south.
While the synoptic situation brings to mind a chance for
freezing drizzle to develop behind the weak boundary tonight,
have decided to omit from the grids due to lack of confidence
that enough ingredients will materialize. Specifically, the
thermal profile is a concern, but moisture is shallow and
patchy.
Another arctic cold front arrives in the north toward morning,
with temperatures dropping behind the front.
Lows will only dip into the mid to upper 20s south of I-70
ahead of the arctic front...with lows falling to the mid teens
behind it.

Nice! Clouds took longer to move into your hood! Do you have any snow cover left at all?
No snow cover at all

Light snow is beginning to fill in ahead the boundary that ILN talked about. Along and SE of I-71 expect light snow tonight ending tomorrow morning. NW of it, nothing. SE Crew could get up to 1" out of the deal. Maybe a dusting for my hood? We'll see!
This is ahead of an arctic cold front and piece of energy swinging thru that will help form a developing low off of FL tomorrow that will move north and whack New England this weekend.

Decent moisture at 700 MB. Seeing some frontogenic forcing at 925 MB but nothing at 850 or 700. So the snow will be light where it does fall. We had flurries earlier so we should already be saturated.

2.06" QPF - 18Z Euro for Boston. I could see 2 feet falling there factoring in ratios. This is in like an 18 to 24 hour period guys lol That's fast!

This is way over done lol The boundary is running thru the Northern Tri-state counties. Anyway, CB's Call. Again overdone in my honest opinion.

Totally Off topic here and I apologize but prayers to JB and his family. He just lost both his parents. This is breaking news in the weather community within the past hour or so. So sad... I feel for Joe.
Looks like we got a decent amount in Amelia. Everything is covered.

Whole lot of good news overnight , my biggest snow of the winter, and even better, models are trending our event next week to more of a winter event than rain. EU in a big way, and GFS heading that way with the Arctic air boundary trending more into cvgland. Let the hunt begin!!!!!

A nice snow this morning too! I'll report an amount once the sun comes up but I'd say 1-2" at first glance. Roads are covered. Schools in this area are closed. We've got another heavy band moving in from IN and possible snow squalls this afternoon esp to our south over LOU's forecast area. Falling temps thru the 20s today can also be expected. A nice Fri morning for snow lovers out there! Please post your obs once the sun comes up, folks and pics too!

You kick started it Tim. I posted that the 18Z GFS and Euro were showing QPF for us last evening so there you go. It all worked. Nice band coming in from the West too plus more scattered action across Central IN too. Should be a nice Late Jan day.
