The weather was fantastic for our trip! We caught 40 walleye in 2 days. Several went in the 7-8 pound range. The time to walleye fish is now if you can get out there weather permitting.

As far as our local weather goes... A wonderful day today in the middle 70s and then we get wet tomorrow and Wed. Fri and Sat also look wet. Our dry days this week look to be today, Thurs and Sunday.

Not sure if this is accurate , but CVG went from 72 at 1pm to 80 as of 2pm. Heck of a jump for the time of day and time of year so I question it.

That 80 had to be a BS reading. At 3pm the temp went back down to 73 then 75 at 4pm. I had 76 today. Boone Co mesonet's high was 75. No way CVG hit 80. I would accept 77 TOPS in my opinion for an official high at CVG. I'll check the 5pm climate report when it comes out to see how they strike it down in the books. Although if it says 80, that could still be revised when the final overnight report is issued for the day.

EPS is hinting at a period of normal to below normal temps around mid month

GEFS is too. Wouldn't it be funny if we saw a few flakes during the 15-20th period? Maybe around St Patrick's Day? That would be a kick in the teeth for #TeamSpring

For now.... a mild morning out there. 58 with a dew of 53 IMBY as we await the rain / t-storms later on today. The drive in looks fine, but the drive home may not be. I don't have much change to the forecast over the next week. Dry Thurs and Sun otherwise rain chances today thru Wed morning and again Fri into the day on Sat. No severe wx is expected and I still think 0.50" maybe 0.75" from both systems combined.

Good Morning Les and what a great day on Monday and really little in the way of wind which is unusual for early March. I agree about the severe weather though a rumble of thunder is possible. I have between .025-.50 for the first system but I believe the Fri-Sat system could bring us in the .75-1.00 as it looks stronger and that would put the weekly total between 1.0 and 1.5. I know the current system is sort of a mess and if it finally gets it act together someone could get a tad more but that will probably be east of here which has been the theme for awhile. The late week system though imo has a much better shot of delivering a decent rain and would not be surprised the totals on that system go up which we would gladly take though I have a wedding later afternoon and always feel bad for the wedding party when you have bad weather on that special day.

Hopefully, we can get an inch between the two systems but I don't feel as if we will get heavy rain from the 1st one. Agree with you Tim, that the second system has a better chance. I like 0.50-0.75" for both systems combined, but if we do manage an inch plus, I surely won't be complaining lol Grass is greening up. Hope we get that mid month cool down to slow the grass down some.

I like our prospects better than others for today. I think some areas will see over an inch, with most getting 0.50" on average. If you are unlucky and get missed by multiple rounds, then you short. You know the drill...same goes for snowfall.

Butler Co has been getting nailed. Some areas likely close to an inch already. Some hail contamination is likely on the radar estimates.

Both CVG / CMH got to 75 and DAY 74 on Mon.

Currently 61 here in G'ville and progged for around 66. Am skeptical of getting to 66 due to cloud cover and convection.

As for the Fri-Sat system, here is the 12z GFS and the 00z Euro. Major differences there. The Euro is a spread-the-wealth type event with widespread heavy rains. The GFS advertises a Cincy/Dayton/Columbus screw-job.
