Tigers lose the game and the series 4-2. Tigers record at this early stage in the season is pretty bad at 7-12. The Royals come to Motown tomorrow night at 7:10pm as rookie Casey Mize takes the mound.

Reds starters give up TWO earned runs in the three game series and the offense scores 20 runs. They are swept three straight. Unacceptable!!

Does this sound like The Reds?
Detroit — It’s something Brad Ausmus said often during his managerial tenure with the Tigers. And it’s as true now as it was then.

When you aren’t hitting, when you aren’t putting runners on base, there’s no energy, no verve — it looks like your compete level is low.

AJ Hinch didn’t know much about that during five winning seasons in Houston, but he can relate now.

The Tigers, who were beaten by the American League Central-leading Kansas City Royals 6-2 Friday night, are in one of those ruts. It was their seventh loss in the last eight – and it’s been the same tired script.

Start with a stagnant offense. Coming into play Friday, the Tigers have produced less than two runs a game on average over the last seven. They’ve struck out 77 times in those games, 13 times Friday.

Boyd pitched 8 strong innings of 1 run ball and Tigers LOSE 2-1. Thanks again to lack of offense. Next one is up for tomorrow afternoon with Michael Fulmer giving it a go.

Yeah first the bullpen implodes and now the offense! Hoping to right the ship in LA...but the Reds have historically performed poorly on the left coast in past years so not holding my breath!

Sonny Gray squares away vs Clayton Kershaw at 4:10 Wed to round out the road trip.

Could be questionable whether the guys can, in part, get a sweep today as recently called up (had been on the DL due to a back injury) Gray has acknowledged that he still hasn't found his flow on the mound with his pitches or his body.

Cincy took 2 out of 3 from LAD as the guys got killed 8-0 on Wed!!

A day off Thurs and then a 5 games home stand starting with 3 vs the Cubbies.

Wade Miley takes on TBD at 7:10 Fri.

The Tigers suck. They lost 3-1 and 11-0 in their DH with the White Sox.

Last night, the team traveled to NYC to take on the Yankee's. They lost game 1 of the series 10-0! Game 2 is today at 1:05pm as Spencer Turnbull gets the nod.

Rough day for the Redlegs as there was a rumble in the 8th as problem child Amir Garrett was on the mound in relief and he ticked off a Cubbie. Garrett has a history as there was a highlight from another rumble in May 2018 vs the Cubs when Garrett was on the mound then, too. Anyway, after all that the guys got edged 3-2!

Rubber match at 1:10 Sun as Tyler Mahle squares away vs Trevor Williams.
