Perfect North Slopes and Mad River Mountain e.g. a slow start, too.
Anywhere east of the Mississippi snow sports are pretty much shut down . Better news for higher elevation areas by next weekend even for east Kentucky and West Virginia, perfect north will have to wait a bit longer for improvements

Models are very messy late in the week and trying to figure out each piece of energy and which one if any can develop into anything bigger.Get the system out of here on Christmas and will probably see a better result from the models.

I like a general 1-3” early call for the Thu PM/Fri system. Models are a little wishy-washy on it now but I think they will come around to a better look as the low gets recaptured by the flow and more cold air gets involved.

The ceiling is high for potential, that’s for sure. Multiple winter storm threats showing up. Busy times, and we like that!

Merry Christmas. 47.5 degree (mean) difference from last Xmas eve and a couple inches of snow on the ground. Ground temps currently average in the mid 40s and into the mid 50s to our west 10 to 20 degrees above normal in that department

Merry Christmas!!! Hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season. What a mild Christmas and before all is said and done rather wet. What happens with the system or messy complex later this week. Still not the coldest air around so you need a rather strong upper system to produce cold air. That is possible plus this weekend some colder air heads this way. To early for me to make any prediction on snow because not sure exactly where the upper system sets up shop. Also one of those deals where how close you are to the upper system the better shot of the precip being snow and further away even north and west you can still get rain. Will be fun to track

For late week , I would have liked the current low to have had a closer track and plow up into Canada to grab some cooler air to throw back into the OV. ATM , it doesn’t really get us anywhere but marginal surface temps , and unlike last weeks strong consolidated vorticity that had a perfect track for our sporadic whiteouts, so far I haven’t seen the models show this. A lot of strung out pieces of vorts that don’t quite create the cold . Snow /rain mix is all I can go with atm. Plenty of time for changes though

So sorry to hear that you're under the weather, Bro.
My Mom Joyce came down with a cold on Sat.
Her bug sounds worse than a typical cold.
Prayers and thoughts sent your and her ways and that you'll feel much better soon.

Due to the southern trend in the track of the ULL, I’ll be adjusting my snow map to reflect 1-3” further south. Dusting to at most an inch north of that. I’ll have the map posted around 10.

Xmas event total here .60” . Tri cities totals, Cbus .63”, CVG- .42” , kday .50”
Record breaking Xmas heat for much of Midwest. No changes looking at the late week , possibly an off and on light rain/snow mix with normalish temps returning

I believe there will be a band of 1-3” slushy snow that sets up, but the area most likely for that is west and south of the city based on the track of the ULL.
Outside of that narrow area, mainly rain shower/snow shower mix as you said with no accumulation.
If the ULL trends further north, of course our snow chance would increase as we’d be under the colder air. But that’s about the only thing that would get us in the game for this round.

Good morning all! I'm alive and kicking... well somewhat.
I just got a chance to look at the overnight models and the ULL is indeed south of us unfortunately. So a few rain and snow showers are all we are going to get should that hold as you guys have already mentioned.

Homemade chicken-noodle soup should give you a boost.

True. It's just when I am sick, I never feel like eating. Under normal circumstances, I like to eat LOL
