Good Morning Eric and sounds like a wonderful Thanksgiving. I hear the movie Wicked is really good and plan on seeing that with some of the grandkids next month around Christmas. I have seen the play 4 times with 2 in Cincinnati,1 each in Louisville in Chicago. My daughter has seen it maybe 8 times with one in London and once in Paris plus the USA cities. We were going to take the 2 youngest next year in Madison,Wisconsin but the lowest amount for ticket was 255.00 and yes they are really milking that cow for whatever its worth lol

Good morning all! 17 here and at CVG this morning. The boys upped the call to 1-2" now for CVG. That kind of surprised me since the model QPF didn't go up at all. No changes from me either. I still like a inch for CVG. Lesser amounts north, more to the south. Start time of the snow fort those that see it should be in that 5-7pm range. Could be some slick spots where the snow occurs this evening and into the overnight. I have a friends surprise b-day party to go to tonight. It might be interesting driving from here to Southgate, KY lol
Think ILN is playing it safe because of the high travel days. They went with a best case scenario for accumulations . I didn’t think our northern counties were ever in the game for noteworthy accumulations

We will lose a little QPF to dry air. That is evident on St Louis, MO radar this morning. STL is not reporting any snow yet even though the radar says that it is snowing. Central MO is reporting light snow with mid to hvy snow in Western MO being reported. I'd say the first couple of hours of returns will be virga for us too.

As of 4pm, Bloomington, IN was reporting light snow. That was the closest reporting station to us that I could find. Any flakes for us are probably still 2 plus hours away I would think.
From the boys:
Low pressure currently over Missouri will weaken as it tracks to
Kentucky. Lift and moisture ahead of the low will coincide with
the dendritic growth zone to produce accumulating snow, mainly
along and south of the Ohio River. Around two inches of
accumulation are expected in parts of Northern Kentucky and
Southeast Indiana near the southern border of the FA where a
Winter Weather Advisory is in effect beginning at 6 pm. Slick
roads are likely to develop during the advisory period.
Locations to the north of the advisory in Northern Kentucky,
Southeast Indiana, and far Southern Ohio, can expect around an
inch of snow. Little accumulation is expected over the next tier
of locations to the north, including the cities of Wilmington,
Hamilton, and Chillicothe. Northern sites such as Dayton and
Columbus, being distant from the storm track, may only see
increasing clouds.
Overnight lows ranging from the upper teens to the upper 20s
will allow efficient accumulation of the snow.

Started to see some light snow here in Burlington about 30 mins ago. Small flakes but it's plenty cold enough for every flake to stick, even to roadways. Heaviest returns will still be south of us as the entire area of snow is sliding to the ESE. We'll see what happens come tomorrow morning in terms of getting 1" for CVG. 1-2" looks good for the winter weather advisory area South of the Metro. Lesser amounts of course as one works north of Cincy.

Nice little note from the Cleveland NWS....
It is important to note that this second round of snowfall will only
compound the impacts felt from the first round. Expect travel across
these counties, especially along portions of I-90, I-86, and I-79,
to become extremely difficult, possibly impassable again. Within the
heaviest band, visibilities will quickly be reduced to 1/4SM or
less. In addition, gusty winds near the lakeshore may result in
blowing of snow that has already fallen. Please do not venture in to
these areas as traveling will again be extremely dangerous and
follow guidance from local officials.

My grandson drove that route Saturday to head back to Ithaca and I know he made it but not sure how trouble he had. Looks like yesterday the snow was falling on the lakes or barely inland and maybe he dodged the heavier stuff.

We have none, just a few snow showers and that’s it. Nothing major till you get to lake county.

Just found out from my grandson that the drive was not bad though many cars in Pa were stranded from earlier snow squalls. It seems the heaviest snow were right along the lakes itself which meant more of a west to east winds.

That's the bad thing about Lake Effect. Many more losers then there are winners.
