Definitely looking like Mason received a lot of rain and some wind too overnight. Seen quite a few limbs down around the office as well as some standing water.

Good Morning and great posts this morning guys. I got 0.02 last night. We saw last night the mcs was stronger than the one the day before and that is because the heat to the west got stronger and push up against these pieces of energy and boom. That should happen again tonight but location as we know almost impossible before it happens. Models, met's,forecasters all in the same boat here. That is one reason such a wide range of rainfall predictions this week and you can only hope its spread out more and not hitting the same area each day.

Today much warmer compared to yesterday as we see more in the way on sunshine.

Some guidance shows the SW counties getting clipped tonight while other models show everyone being completely dry. We'll see what the 12Z CAMs show here soon.

Not sure why the SPC didn’t issue a severe watch for our area once the storms developed in east central Indiana. There was a pretty good organization to them which is one of there criteria for issuing a watch. The storms had warnings on them from about 9pm to 3am. They issued one for Louisville which had a few warnings but not like what was closer to our region

Our area seems to get severe wx when the SPC "down plays" things. Issue a slight risk and it's game over!

The current MCS is a swing and a miss to the SW. Next MCS is moving into SE Iowa now. That one is also forecast to miss us to the SW. Another one should form tomorrow and that is the one where some guidance has it hitting us tomorrow afternoon. If the CAMs are correct, we will be dry until then.

Good morning all! The next MCS is getting going in the Des Moines, IA area. The NAM only has spotty convection this afternoon where the HRRR slams us! The 3KM NAM does the Cincy split. We'll see what the 12Z data shows later but that's what we've got atm. Most of the CAMs also show a decent chance for tomorrow afternoon and evening as well.
