Thunder and moderate rain now...

Heavy rain now .. not much wind. Just a classic t-storm in progress.

Got my porch cushions put away just in time!

Hail stopped. Still seeing hvy rain and a bit of wind.

Storm is over... was a decent non severe storm. Picked up around a half inch of rain and temps dropped to 71.

EDIT: My high was 85 prior to getting the storm.

While we watch storms evolve in our area... don't sleep on the line over Western IN. A couple of warnings out in SW IN for 60 mph winds and quarter sized hail.

ALERT: For those of you in Ohio further to the NE who are not under the current watch, an MD now issued for you Dayton and Columbus posters. A 60% chance of watch issuance.

Per the visible, the sun should come back out for a little while before that line in W. IN arrives. Let's see how much the atmosphere can recover.

A quick update in the last 30 mins from the boys:

.NEAR TERM /UNTIL 6 PM THIS EVENING/...
PM update: Severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for the
west and southwest in area of best instability along with
lingering convergent axes left over from this morning.

Chances of storm development heading into the mid- afternoon
hours will continue to ramp up along and northwest of
Interstate 71. CAMs showing 2000-3000 J/kg MLCAPE along with
25-30 knots of effective bulk shear should lead to multicellular
organization with perhaps a few supercells. Relatively weak
low- level flow and little directional shear keep tornado threat
on the low side... however will still need to watch based on
storm- to- storm interactions and the moderate instability.

T-Storm Watch now issued for the Eastern half of the area until 10pm.

So everyone is under a watch now. Western half until 7 and the Eastern half until 10.

My Brother is currently seeing small hail in Milford presently.

Just about to get hit with that second line in east clermont

Nothing close to severe here. Light t-shower at best

Main line is moving in now... scattered warnings associated with it along with 1 tornado warning near Liberty, IN.

Had a SVR t-storm warning and then a TOR warning in Greenville.

Poured buckets between 3:55 and 4:15.

Currently 65 here.

Dew point is back to 70 so very muggy to support continued action... Temp has recovered to 74 attm imby. MD issued about 30 mins ago about our watch:

* At 503 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Dillsboro,
moving east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vehicles is possible. Expect wind
damage to trees and power lines.

* Locations impacted include...
Cincinnati, Florence, Lawrenceburg, Greendale, Aurora, Walton,
Rising Sun, Hidden Valley, Oakbrook, Burlington, Union, Cleves,
Dillsboro, Shawnee, Miami Heights, Mack, Wilmington, Pleasant,
Grandview and French.

This includes the following Interstates...
I-71 in Kentucky between mile markers 73 and 77.
I-75 in Kentucky between mile markers 171 and 182.

Unlike the cell from earlier... this one is going to have some wind with it. It's already building here and the storm is not even here yet.

Whoops... my timing was off, I should have said 5-10 mins cause it is raining now. No wind or hail yet... thunder, lightning, and rain thus far.

Just reached 1.5" and still coming down hard!

Nothing severe here,... just more classic thunder storm action. I thought I would get some wind from this one but nope.
