Perfect post Les. They need to clean the weather window at the NWS

Les, you're making drool, won't be long!

Went outside to run an errand and I'm just miserable. Got my AC working a little better with working from home here, but it's still struggling, can't wait for mother nature's AC soon.

Good morning all! Rain totals since midnight:

CVG - 0.17"
Me - 0.11"
Boone Co Mesonet - 0.38"

For the most part, only expecting isolated storms from near the river on south, otherwise the U80s today and still humid, but not as bad as yesterday. Then, we are in the lower 80s for the most part Sun - Tues then the upper 70s to low 80s for the rest of the week. We should warm into the mid and even upper 80s by next weekend. Rainfall chances thru the period do not look like much, if any after the isolated chance today. But at least the big time heat and humidity is taking a much needed break.

Good Morning Les. Concert was a full house last night and LS was great as usual and ZZTOP not so much. Back to the weather and forecast looks good and we see what the tropical system in the eastern GOM decides to do this upcoming week. How far north and west is still a big question because once you get so far north later next week shear is a big concern. The gfs is further northwest but we just wait and see but at least more rainfall for the southeast and Florida. Grass perked up a little and with cooler and less humid air arriving over the next few days that should help as well.

Never heard any rain falling here in G'ville overnight so I reckon that area in east-central IL and west-central IN probably missed here, unfortunately. Glad though that I got .60" from earlier in the week. ;)

I think that Gulf tropical system will miss us well to the SE due to NW Flow / trough over our area and thus, the nice weather pattern that is coming Sunday thru all of next week. I don't see much in the way of appreciable rainfall in our future so I am glad that some of us got hit the last few days. For those that did not, the waiting game continues. I will finally mow my lawn tomorrow. It's been a couple of weeks.
