1-2” of snow tonight in the Northeast. Seeing as how we are camping at Caesar Creek, this should be fun!

Zero difference for us but totally different for the Northern Midwest and Northern Plains.

Without that wintertime moisture for the upper plains/midwest , a good chance the drought continues or develops in those areas this spring/summer

I have the same concerns for the OV. We need some moisture this spring, or it's going to be one long hot summer ahead.... esp with a developing La Nina.

Good Afternoon and finally able to look at the weather and got a nice dose of rain yesterday and the final total was 0.63. Lets hope the spring is kinder in terms of rainfall than last year. Concerning upcoming La Nina and have no ideal if and when that happens as models are really struggling with all the warmth in the oceans across the planet. To me its just a wait and see and really a slower turn to a La Nina is what we need as these big swings cause all kinds of problems with either to much rain/snow or not enough. This years El Nino of course gave much of the USA a very mild winter with well below normal snowfall though the same El Nino gave parts of northern Europe and central Asia big time cold and record snows. So yes if we look locally its been a very mild winter but on a global stage mother nature will always equal things out the best she can.

Concerning snow in the morning and sure there will probably be a period of snow for a few hours and it will look nice but mainly accumulate on roof tops and grass. Saturday overall though will be a true mid-winter day with little sunshine and temps near the 32 degree mark.

Will start to look at next week which looks very busy but do we get severe weather or just some nice heavy rains. To early as we have a few systems trying to merge which would no doubt up the severe part or do we just see two systems which gives us decent rains both times,

Low to mid 50s across the area this afternoon. The snow isn't going to be a big deal for travel but hoping to see some nice flakes in the morning even if the sticking power is minimal. I do believe that a slushy inch or so is possible esp NE of the local Cincy area. Trev's map looks pretty good so I'll just stick with that.

Concerning severe wx next week, it is still uncertain. What is certain is that a lot of it will be to our West. Just not sure about frontal boundary timing. I do see some decent rainfall amounts showing up in that 1-2" range for the Tues - Thurs period. I say bring it on! Let's get as much moisture as we can before the heat comes.

Zoom of Cincinnati this season. Pretty pitiful, but our seasonal average is low compared to areas north because we do see winters like this mixed in. Just the way it goes here in Cincinnati!

Seeing some scattered light snow breaking out over Wisc right now, so I figure that is probably our little system for in the morning.
