I'm getting some nice rains and a lot of noise but no wind hardly at all and no hail to speak of either. Non severe all around Imby.

I've dropped to 68 degrees with ran, thunder, and lightning still occurring. CVG and myself have picked up 0.10" as of 8pm with more coming as it continues to rain. A break coming but we'll see what those cells to the west do in a little while. Going to head to bed if the noise doesn't keep me up lol Stay safe tonight all!

Hyde Park had some CG strikes. CFD checking a couple houses for strikes.

Warning in NKY for possible 60mph winds. Looks like my more aggressive severe forecast verified pretty nicely! Going to be a wet morning for sure!

Yep, last evenings warm front certainly exceeded my expectations with all the warnings ILN put out. No severe Imby . The bowling ball upper low performing as expected with a wide area of moderate to heavy rains

Good morning and like many of you, I didn't get much sleep due to the noise of the storms and my wx radio going off about 5 or 6 times with the various warning issued. I have not been outside to look closely but gazing out the window, things look ok here. I did see on the news where lightning struck a house in the Oakbrook subdivision in Florence which is right next to my hood lol So that was close! Rainfall wise, CVG and I are close at around 2.3" The rain is finally over down this way, and now it's time to bring on the heat!

Played catchup here and with the action in the past couple hours I managed 1.22”. Looks like north of 70 got little to none so hope they can cash in this weekend!

Also on CB's overnight blog post, they've got a pic and a video you can see of baseball sized hail failing in Jessamine Co KY which is close to the Wilmore area SW of Lexington. My Grandfather lived in Nicholasville (same county) for many years.

Wondering now if we never hit 90 today or tomorrow. It's going to be close! With all of the rain and wet ground, it will try and counteract the heat. I believe Tim mentioned this the other day. Also, for today... how long do the clouds take to clear out? I noticed ILN has us now in the U80s both days so they have already knocked us down in temps a peg.

Good Morning and finally a nice stormy evening and overnight. Growing up these events were a lot more common and of course no AC so if the windows were closed it felt like a sauna. Two things occurred and the first is with the warm front and no doubt it overachieved and second the mcs ended up further south and the two ended up working together to bring in the severe weather and heavy rains. Had some small hail around 830pm last night and then some very strong winds around 9pm. After that just some heavy rain with thunder and lightning.. Today will be hot and still going with 86-88 but it will be very muggy. Saturday is my hot day with a temp of 90 and if we remain dry 91or 92 is possible. Then Sunday is likely to have some showers and maybe a few thundershowers before the cold front comes through and drops temps. Monday and Tuesday look great before once again we get stormy.

Good morning Tim and those were my forecasting errors. The warm front being more active, and the MCS not tracking to our NW as I was expecting. Everything came together for a nice event for hvy rain, booming thunder, tremendous lightning, flash flooding, and severe wx in many areas. Hats off to Trev for sniffing this one out! I am personally not expecting severe wx this weekend but it's worth keeping an eye on with it being warm and humid going into Sunday. I am still eyeballing Wed of next week depending on timing for a possible severe wx event.

Does anyone know how much it rained? Our house is taking on water. I don't have time for this.
