Good morning everyone! One more awesome day before we track rain for your Sat / Sat night plans. No changes to what I said in the video last night. Likely POPS looks good sometime Sat afternoon thru Sun morning should work out about right. The fireworks again still look to be just fine Sun evening. :) Temps continuing in the 70s and L80s with lows in the 50s and L60s. Next front Tues night, then another shot of the 70s for highs and 50s for lows to end next week. Then after that, are my thought correct on the warm up as the trough starts to dig more into the West? We shall see!

Got down to 58 this morning. Not quite as cool as yesterday thanks to some high clouds out there. Still, we'll get a good amount of sun coming thru anyway with another day in the 70s expected. Dews are very nice this morning in the 40s to L50s across the region. I love it! :heartbeating:

Looks like we had quite a few upper 40s across central and eastern portions of Ohio this morning - lowest I saw was 46 at Cambridge!

12Z GFS has around a quarter of an inch of rain at CVG with a heavier band setting up for Mike's hood and again south of my hood as well. I do think that the heaviest totals fall over Central and Southern KY, but I still like the 0.25 to 0.50" call for us locally. We'll see!

Still seeing that warm up too as a nice trough dives into the west and the SE Ridge controls our weather. Not sure about any 90s at this early stage in the game but the chance is there if the ridge is strong enough. I'd say in about a week, after the 10th, we should be out of this below normal pattern for a bit. How long does the warmth last? Remains to be seen but today's GFS run verbatim says about 8 or 9 days then a strong front comes thru and knocks us back down again. This takes us to Sept 20th time frame if the pattern were to work out as such. This is all speculation esp if the tropics have anything to say about it. Look for changes if the tropics flare back up.

0.72" at CVG from the 12z Euro. The good news on this run is the timing. Highest rain chances come Sat night when most are in bed. Would like to see it pan out that way for those who have outdoor plans.

Good morning folks and Happy Labor Day weekend to you all! :) Look for light rain to be possible after 4pm with the heavier stuff coming in by this evening. Areas of mod to hvy rain for the overnight period and some thunder also possible. No severe wx is expected. The action will begin to taper off Sunday morning. Probably lingering into the midday to early afternoon hours the further south you go from the river. No issues expected for the WEBN Fireworks. Labor Day also looking great! So really, the bulk of the heavier rains should be timed out at night which is good news for outdoor plans. Just keep in mind that light rain should move in this afternoon like I said and dinner time outdoor plans could be interrupted. Also, the Reds / Tigers game could also see delays tonight.

Good Morning and even had a few sprinkles around midnight but what was I doing up at midnight is a different story lol. Les the forecast looks good and saw on the extended gfs the lovely 540 line with snow in south central Canada. Getting to that time of year. Do we get another warm up and that really depends on the tropics. They become a road block this time of year so at the moment I see no true sign either way.

Glad the rain is holding off long enough that I was able to get the grass done / trimmed. :) Deciding if I should see if I have some beans to pick or the hell with it and relax the rest of the day?

My call was for a chance for rain after 4pm and for the I-70 Crew that is looking fine. For us down here, probably going to be another hour or so.

Finally some light rain moving in. Amounts aren't going to be very high IMO for CVG Land. Models way overdoing QPF for us down here anyway at this time.
