Smohler wrote: Sun Jul 02, 2023 12:43 pm Ok folks I haven't been on in forever, age and health haven't been kind. But I thought of you all today cause I need a professional opinion. We have a large amt of fireworks to put off. My nephews wire them up somehow, we aren't just lighting then behind the shed. It takes a few hours to set it up. We are scheduled for tonight but it seems extremely iffy (at 9:45.pm to start) tomorrow is doable but my nephew thinks tomorrow is just as iffy, he just goes by a weather channel app. Can you folks give me any guidance on which night has a better chance of staying dry? I'd really appreciate it.
So glad to see you posting again. Of course never easy in saying that rain will or will not be in your area around 945pm. Tonight a much better shot at seeing showers and thundershowers this evening compared to Monday night. Imo I would wait until Monday evening but Mother Nature will have the final say. Hope your health gets better.

The line of storms getting its act together over northwest Indiana into central Illinois. Starting to see some feeder storms as well over southern Indiana and western Kentucky. How this pans out over the next few hours will be fun to see. Have a partly to mostly cloudy day at my house but when you get that few minutes of sun it feels so much hotter.

Well folks... we pulled off another great fireworks show with no mishaps or problems! Rain stayed away long enough for us to pick up the big chunks and after the street dried off this morning, we were able to finish cleaning up the mess! Neighbors and family / friends, all had a great time! Can't wait for next year! :)

Dew point at 75 which may be the highest this year. Cells are blooming in several places and will this finally turn into one solid line. My guess it should in a few hours but at least something to track this afternoon and evening

Hey Sherry! :)

Les, great to hear that your neighborhood show was able to get launched before Ma Nature moved in! :thumbupleft:

Last night I could hear some in my 'hood from afar! :) City of Greenville had theirs at the Great Darke Co fairground last night, too! 8-)

Have picked up .82" from Sat and .70" so far for Sun. :)

Also glad the Redlegs / Padres were able to get their game in before storms moved in! :)

Our guys took 2 out of 3 before hitting the road and this year will be in D.C. for Independence Day! :unclesam: :usa:

Man, I think I have inherited someone's dome. I have only gotten 4/10s of an inch of rain so far from the whole weekend. And as I look at the radar, going both north and south again.

Hi Linn,

Sure wish I could you help you in the rainfall dept, bro. :thumbupright:

The storm that rolled through here in Greenville and esp a few minutes ago was one of the more intense ones I've seen in quite a while. Had some pea to penny hail and gusts of 50+ mph.

Storm cell blew up over top of me. Tremendous downpour, lots of thunder and lightning, and pea sized and a little larger hail. Wife had just gone out and watered. I think the dome developed a crack.

For me, the bark of that line of storms was much worse than its bite. Brief heavy winds but not much rain. Disapointing to say the least.

Good morning all! We added one last ground wetter overnight. For today, just a few more pop up's possible. Tues and Wed look mainly dry and warm / humid with temps in the 87-90 degree range. Then a front brings in a good chance for t-storms again on Thurs. That ends Fri and we are good Sat. More storms for Sunday on into next week. Temps will be in the low to mid 80s dropping into the U70s next week.
