Did anyone see sunshine today? Cloudy all day and damp. Actually had the heat on in the truck to warm up the face and toes.
I had a lot of sunshine down here today which made it pleasant for grass mowing and leaf grinding before our 3 days of rain comes. I topped out at 57.

Got my yard mowed as well - still have a few leaves to fall and of course there is the neighbors leaves that always blow into my yard.
I always mulch leaves throughout Nov. One year even in the first week of December. Those stubborn oaks.

Jealous. They called for some sun here, but the clouds were stubborn.
Good morning all! One band of light rain will move in later on this morning but the steadier action now looks to hold off until the midday or early afternoon hours. Other then that, I like the idea still of periods of rain thru Sat evening. I also still like that 1" call for most folks. Some more, some less obviously. Then a dry Halloween with temps in the 50s for the little ghouls and goblins.
I know this has prob been posted on here before, but anyone know the latest date of the first freeze at CVG (temp of 32 or below)? I'm thinking it's like November 10th or something like that.

Nov 27th for CVG and Nov 25th for DAY and CMH.
Oh wow, thanks Les! Guess it's not too unusual to wait this long for that first freeze.

No problem Mike! For CVG, the avg first freeze is Oct 25th.
Taking sometime to moisten up the atmosphere. Had a rather dry atmosphere to start plus a strong east wind which can delay the rains. The rain will come but may be a few hours later than the models show. Once it starts going to be a wet 6-8 hours at least and getting 1/2 inch of rain is possible. After that we will have rounds of showers through Saturday. Those showers will taper during the day but even Saturday evening you can have a leftover shower which happens often in these kinds of systems. Halloween looks great with temps maybe hitting 55-58 later in the day and stay in the low 50's during the evening plus being dry is about perfect for the kids and also the adults giving out the candy.
Good posts Tim and Mike. I also saw a bit of sun earlier before the clouds completely took over. Stiff east breeze of the Apps will delay the rain a bit as Tim has already mentioned. We should start getting wet now probably after 12 pm.

Seeing a bit of sunshine now.
See this quite often in fall and winter storms as that east wind can be very dry and leads to the some sun shining at times before the moisture finally wins and then its usually not to long after that the precip starts.
Had some sun here as well for a decent part of the day. About 2 or so the clouds starting moving in and some sprinkles started about 4:30. Then the steady rain started about an hour later.
