I don't want any lightning delays. :) Even though I retired from being on the chain gang, I got called back into action because they are short handed. :( Good news, is that is has been dry here for the past couple of days. :) Give things a chance to dry out a little.
Most of the isolated pop up's are along the I-75 Corridor from Dayton N to Wapakoneta at the present time.
Yes sir, I am keeping my eye on that. My luck one will blow up overhead here. LOL Thanks.
No problem, JP! Glad you had a nice vacation as well. Saw your pics on FB. ;) Awesome time! Time to focus on our season my friend, that is coming up.
Yes sir I made it out of Florida non injured this year. :) Aww yes, leaf season of course is what you are talking about. LOL j/k I hate that season but love the season after that. Still keeping an eye on radar and the hrrr. T minus 1 hour until I need to go up to the field. Having a cold beverage before I go. :drinkingcheers: It is Friday after all. :)

So another downpour! Up to 0.16” on the day! Much better than I originally had figured for today.

Yep! Grinding season is coming. Some early small drop here due to dry conditions but the recent rains have halted it for now.

Good morning all! Looking like we've got possible contest days starting today and lasting thru most of next week. Rain chances continue to look sparse until Thursday at this point. Due to Henri still going with a cold front passing thru next weekend.

87 here and CVG currently. Plenty of time to get a contest day in. The nasty humidity and better storm chances too, resides to our west today. As the high moves off to the east next week, the humidity will be back along with temps near 90 or so. <20% thru Tues, Isolated Wed, best chance Thurs, scattered Friday. By the weekend, and into the following week, the front is allowed to pass and we're cool down finally.

Looking more and more like the 90s are here to stay from today thru at last Wed perhaps Thurs of next week. U80s thereafter until we can get that front thru here. We def have a week plus of nasty humidity and temps to get thru. Nothing too crazy..... 5-7 degree above normals.

Hey guys! Thanks for keeping us rolling and Mike... also for updating the contest thread. Appreciate it! :) Was at my Brother's yesterday and had an eye Dr. appointment this morning.

The 90s are the name of the game thru the weekend it looks like right now. BG has ya covered there with StormTalk!

https://www.wave3.com/2021/08/23/goode- ... -blog-823/

Hopefully my cooler talk is "delayed but not denied" as they say but it's certainly going to get delayed. We should have a good stretch of 90s coming for the contest over the next week plus. Hope to see some t-storm chances with it. Don't see much to get excited about until maybe sometime this weekend? That keeps getting pushed back too.

12Z GFS has scattered chances for I-70 also on Tues. For Cincy, Thurs we get a shot, Just scattered chances until the end of the month, when a stronger cold front finally clears the area and brings in a good dose of rain / storms as it does so.

HOT week for the Great Darke Co Fair which opened Fri Aug 20th and runs through Sat Aug 28th! :sunny:

There's a woman at my church, a friend of my folks and I, whose (late) husband for decades was in charge of smoothing out the track for harness races and now she rides with her son during those smooth out times. :)

Currently 86 here in G'ville and progged to top out at around 88 later.
