0.21" for QPF now at CVG as of 10am.
An update from the boys:
.NEAR TERM /UNTIL 6 PM THIS EVENING/...
Radar trends at 10:30 AM this morning have shown weaker
reflectivity with the lingering snowfall across our CWA. Most
of the heavier snowfall is beginning to exit our eastern IN and
far western OH counties as the shortwave propagates eastward.
Light accumulations will continue for majority of counties east
of I-75 this morning. 12z ILN sounding does show that moisture
presence throughout the DGZ isn`t quite as impressive as what
model soundings hinted at. This led to smaller snowflakes being
formed as opposed to the larger, dendritic flakes that would`ve
led to higher accumulations, particularly for our northern
counties. Still have observed 1-3" across the entire CWA based
on reports this morning, with a larger spatial area receiving
over 2" from snowfall thus far.
While the impactful snow will be ending by this afternoon, there
will be periods of flurries and light snow across a large
portion of the CWA through the rest of the daytime hours. Have
continued the Advisory for now as road crews continue to work on
treating the snow covered areas.

I'd say a good solid 2" here...maybe a bit more (too lazy to measure lol). Plow just came by and the side street I live on is clear. Just saw a peek of sun as well! Temp is 26.

I wish you guys could have gotten a little more but it's nice to see the grass covered for a change!

What's good is that even with the clouds and cold temperatures, roads are recovering well in many areas. You can thank the calendar date/higher sun angle for that! Salt is working like a charm.

Some didn’t get what was expected, but we were saying before this event that if we got these amounts we’d be happy, so I’m pretty happy the way things turned out

Temps are dropping now with a stiff W wind behind the departing system. Hopefully that will dry up the roads some.

The pic of your two boys reminds me of my Brother and I when we were growing up. I can relate to that pic. I was always on the receiving end of the snow ball.

Great pics, I love seeing kids outside having fun but was hoping to see someone else getting hit with a snowball lol. Snowball fights were wonderful as a kid but once in awhile you got those snow/ice balls and those hurt like crazy

I used to take a regular snowball, dip it in the creek on a cold day and make it into an ice ball!
The person on the receiving end got a stinger!!!
