Nice to see Mike and I believe that will be the case most of the week as some folks will get hit with a early morning or late afternoon/early evening storm.
I'll believe it when I see it locally IMBY. My Dome seems to be back in working operation again after taking a nice vacation earlier in the summer.

Just checked the rain guage, 0.7 inches in about 20 minutes. As it was wrapping up, two close lightning strikes.

Sure hope we can get something this evening because after this, lawns will be taking a beating with the heat later this week in areas who have not seen decent rains as of late. SPC is looking promising but My Dome is a whole other animal to predict. :)

Same here Bro. Last week my gauge picked up a combo .28". Glad for it but we all could use more.

On Wed currently the MV is under a Slight risk and Tri-state a Marginal one.

Looks like they've issued a watch until 10pm. Pretty good discussion in there... winds to 70 mph possible and hail as large as 1.5"

Things I like when I looked at SPC Meso Page:

1 - CAPE is wonderful 3500-4500 J/Kg for the area.
2 - DCAPE is at 1200 J/KG - Good for strong winds
3 - Very steep low level lapse rates - Good for large hail
4 - Juicy dews and plenty of warmth - Good for all storm development

Limiting factors:
1 - Very little wind shear. 25 knots or less so storm coverage and organization is in question.
2 - Not seeing any spin or helicity at all for rotating updrafts.

Of course no severe weather but a decent thunderstorm I would love to see with about an inch of rain. How hot we get later this week is still a big question and being mid-late July you have a better shot of getting temps above 92 even with decent vegetation because we still have long days and with more vegetation the humidity is higher so low temps at night only get so cool and getting a 20 degree rise is not that hard. Again Indy,Louisville I expect a day or two in the mid-90's but CVG 92 maybe 93 but that usually happens on the day before a cold front comes through

T-storm warning for my Co now until 5:30pm. Might miss me to the north unless it drops SE instead then I'll have a good chance at it.

We had those nice leftover boundaries from this morning plus a small disturbance moving across the area is giving us scattered thundershowers this afternoon. Had enough sun in the early afternoon to ignite these. Heavy rain makers and decent thunder and lightning is the most likely outcome. Some brief stronger winds and maybe some very small hail but tornado's are unlikely with type of event but never say zero chance but very close to zero.

So far with the first thundershower 0.06 but more coming I believe over the next several hours.

Les I believe you will get hit with the upcoming round. I will try not hog all the rain this time. I have been very lucky this year compared to last August when most folks got some rain and I got nothing.

Sure hope so Tim. I did not get that inch that CVG got last week. The heavier action has been missing my hood for the last 7-10 days. Seeing a few drops but not much yet, Heaviest def will be to my north as I feared, but I'll report back once we see how it shakes out. I haven't mowed in the last 8 days as a result.

I was worried for a little bit that I wasn't going to see all that much since the front part of the cell missed me. But we are seeing some back building on radar a bit further to the south so as a result, my dome is broken and mod rains have been falling! Up to 0.37" as of this post with more to come. Best rains I have seen in a while. FINALLY!!! :) :) :) Hope to see some of you get some of this for those who need it.

Wow... that cell dropped a tad more to the south so the core of it is finally coming thru here. Very heavy rains occurring. 0.72" now as of this post with heavy rain continuing for a little bit longer.
