12Z Euro backs the heat off towards the end of next week with a backdoor front then the same front next Sunday also comes in that the GFS was showing. Euro also isn't as hot as the GFS. We know the GFS has been running way too hot this summer so it maybe correct to go with the Euro here which keeps the 90s going Sunday thru about Thurs of next week versus the GFS which keeps the 90s going until next Sat.

Regarding this evening, looks like will be a one and done type of set up as opposed to two rounds. That's the best we could as for at this point as far as action. Hazy sun in Mason ATM

Radar currently looks good for the I-70 Crew to get a quick drink for their lawns and gardens. For us down Cincy way and S of the river... not so much. We'll see what happens! Last chance for rain thru about 10pm this evening then it's game over for a week and change.

The band of incoming rain is actually the prefrontal trough. Look behind it, scattered cells are popping over NW Indiana and trying to do so in Eastern ILL so that is your actual cold front. So the two round idea is going to be correct.

80 for my high today. 78 now with some sprinkle activity. Looks like all my hood will get is a trace with this particular system.

Looking like a trace to maybe a few hundredths for a few folks, that's about it. Only a few widely scattered storms over Central IN remain with the cold front. After 9 or 10pm... that'll be it.

My gauge picked up a half inch from today for a combo 1.15" since Mon / Tues. :)

I truly feel though for those who it seems the Ma Nature dome syndrome doesn't want to come to an end! :grouphug:

Dewpoint is down to 53 at CVG as of 1pm. That is very dry air for August. Not going to complain of course since we know what's coming down the road. Per the 12Z GFS I don't have much change to the forecast. The heat wave begins Sunday and ends next Friday.

At least fans won't be sweltering via the GAB (minus Sun) as the Redlegs have a 10 game western road trip next week. ;)

My Brother got free tickets for tonight's game and he and his wife are going as part of their 11th Wedding Anniv. It should be a beautiful evening for baseball or for anything outdoors.

Hi Les,

Congratulations to Larry and Kate on their 11th! 8-)

Tonight's Redlegs starting pitcher is a newbie Brett Kennedy. :)

Great evening indeed! :)

Hey Eric, I'm wondering if Hilary will be causing any issues with the LA game on Monday, although it looks like she'll be north of LA by then!
