It'll be interesting to see how much the intensity is by the time is gets in here. The front is forecast to slow down S of the River so depending on when that happens, someone over our southern areas or LOU could see heavy rains later tonight into tomorrow morning.

* Primary threats include...
Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2
inches in diameter possible
Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible
A tornado or two possible

SUMMARY...Scattered severe thunderstorms will move east-southeast
across the watch area through this evening with a risk for damaging
wind gusts and large hail.

The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 55
statute miles north and south of a line from 25 miles southwest of
Mattoon IL to 40 miles southeast of Muncie IN. For a complete
depiction of the watch see the associated watch outline update
(WOUS64 KWNS WOU5).

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.

Very nice storm here - I’d say winds gusted in the 40-45 mph range here. Lots of lightning thunder and heavy rain !!

I don't see any TOR warning issued by ILN, but IMO by looking at the radar sig. , there is some rotation there. I'd be taking cover to be on the safe side,

EDIT: Not as pronounced now, but some straight line wind damage certainly is possible.

Looks like the part moving into the Metro now is weakening. Figures :lol: Oh well, as long as we see some beneficial rains, I am good with it.
